We loved unit 408 at Surf Master! Parking was easy, location was prime, and the views from the corner unit were breathtaking! Only thing is I wish I had brought kitchen essentials such as liquid soap and paper towels. Kitchen towels and dishrags would be great. We had plenty of bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths, however. The unit was clean and adequately furnished and the beds were comfortable. Also, upon arrival, two of the toilets would not stop running. I called the maintenance number and a repairman was there in minutes! Good to know someone would take care of the issue so efficiently! Communication, check-in and check-out were a breeze! We were very pleased and will return!

Due to such late planning I called the office vice booking online. Susan was great to work with and sought out two properties that met my needs for a broken week schedule that wasn’t the traditional Sat to Sat model. Without her help we would have moved on to another beach up the coast and not have experienced Garden City Beach and it’s unique family beach feeling. Loved the proximity to the Garden City Pier. Live band every night was great. Only negative was the parking allowed for only one vehicle on sight. However the free overflow parking met our need, It was located about 2 miles away. The unit we stayed in could have used a handyman to fix the minor issues we encountered. Note: I didn’t report any problems as the issues didn’t change my experience and weren’t major concerns. Things such as loose and broken floor trim. But overall the place was cozy, cool and clean. We would stay in it again and would recommend to our friends and all others. This is the second year we have stayed in a License to Chill. We were excited to see that a second King bed had been added. We would like to see a larger refrigerator in the unit. The location is great and there is ample parking for 6 vehicles. We would recommend this unit to others.

We picked this place because it looked like it had been freshly updated. Indeed it was. It was within close waking distance of Marlin Quay marina which was a nice surprise. The room was very clean!. There is no coffee maker here unless you bring gear for a Keurig. I did not. No TV in one bedroom. The pool looked so nice in the photos but when we arrived it was very dirty with leaves and even a beer can at the bottom. I spent time skimming the leaves out of the pool so that it looked well enough to swim in. It was cleaned out the day we checked out.
I will say that Pat at Garden City Realty was very kind and extremely helpful. They had nothing to do with the trivial things that upset me. All in all it was a nice place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay @ Surfmaster 412 in Garden City. This was the first time we stayed at Surfmaster and we were not disappointed. The unit was roomy, clean, fully equipped,comfortable,great location, and on and on. Our only challenge at times was the parking, but this certainly would not deter us from staying at Surfmaster in the future. Thanks for a great 2012 vacation in SC....see you next year :)

Amazing updates to the unit! Beautiful decor and furnishings. We had a couple requests from maintenance and they came through, no questions asked!! Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay! So happy with our stay. Only suggestion would be to update kitchen next. It’s nice but dated. Overall great place!
