We picked this place because it looked like it had been freshly updated. Indeed it was. It was within close waking distance of Marlin Quay marina which was a nice surprise. The room was very clean!. There is no coffee maker here unless you bring gear for a Keurig. I did not. No TV in one bedroom. The pool looked so nice in the photos but when we arrived it was very dirty with leaves and even a beer can at the bottom. I spent time skimming the leaves out of the pool so that it looked well enough to swim in. It was cleaned out the day we checked out.
I will say that Pat at Garden City Realty was very kind and extremely helpful. They had nothing to do with the trivial things that upset me. All in all it was a nice place to stay.

Check in was easy. The home was fairly clean. Some of the 2nd floor toilets has some kind of residue in them possibly from not having been flushed recently. Kitchen was well-stocked with pots/pans/utensils/appliances. Great location - short walk to beach and close to many stores. Highly recommend for large families.

Everything was as described (except the elevator didnt work) But that was minor. We loved it. I plan on staying here again if i havent bought a place of my own in GC by next year.

Overall great vacation. Condo was clean and comfortable. Owner stopped by for some measurements to do further upgrades on secondary bedroom and kitchen. Kitchen is definitely ready for an update but it was functional and well equipped so no complaints from us. The view of the ocean trumps anything negative you could find. Breathtaking views! Parking and access to beach were a little complicated but it’s probably the best they could do with tight space. One hot tub was under construction while we were there but we never use it anyway so that didn’t put us out at all.

The tub/shower in the second bathroom drained VERY SLOWLY and would be ankle deep within a minute. Overall, the unit was updated and very comfortable.

Star haven for the week was a great choice. About a 1 min walk to the closest public beach access. The ocean view from the front porch was awesome. We walked to the pier a couple of nights, not a bad walk at all. The house is very comfortable, furniture and beds were more than sufficient. The staff at garden city realty was awesome. We will definitely use again.

We have been fortunate to stay at the Mariposa twice. eleven years ago when our family was. Little smaller and now much larger, celebrating our 50th anniv. With our children, grandchildren. Friends that live in Market Commons only minutes away celebrated with us as well. Eleven years later the house was still meticulous and charming. Pam, who I believe may be the owner surprised us with 50th Anniversary 7 layer cake, delish. She is adorable. Professional, courteous as we’re booking with them, staff coming for pool cleaning etc. great house, great owners, great people, beautiful porch with so many rocking chairs that would delight even the grumpiest of people.
