Location and house was great. The only thing that we did not like were the barn doors at the bathroom. They literally give you no privacy.

My family and I just stayed a week (not long enough) and we absolutely had a wonderful time. Nights on the back porch were so peaceful and relaxing. The new table and chairs were wonderful for sitting and relaxing in the afternoon. We can’t wait to go back.

We enjoyed our stay at Waccamaw Exchange, great location, dog friendly with a dock and boat ramp, close to Sam's Corner and the pier which is the heart of Garden City Beach. Only cons is the A/C only has a thermostat upstairs which makes the downstairs uncomfortable at times. Also the house can acquire a smell from the inlet/marsh at times. Would recommend to others and would stay again.

Outstanding location and property. back porch is sensational and access to inlet is unmatched for fishing or boating. Downside: Listed as having a King Bed, not so (Queens) and non of the windows could be opened. All are Painted shut as they are older and warped.

Our stay at Waccamaw Exchange was wonderful! We wish we could have stayed longer!! Perfect location...beach access 2 short blocks w/o high rises and marsh view right from the backyard. Perfect place to watch sunsets from the private dock or screened in porch. We encountered many super friendly people in and around the neighborhood. The house is tastefully decorated and stocked with anything you’d need in the kitchen. All furnishings were as advertised and very comfortable. We absolutely loved the screened porch...in fact we spent the majority of our time there when at the house. Our only issues were that the porch had not been cleaned of pollen upon our arrival. I spent 2 hours cleaning it. I know pollen has been a huge problem this year, but this had clearly not been done for days. The inside of the house was clean. Also, a charcoal grill was not available as posted. We bought one and left it there. No big deal. We would love to rent this house for the entire winter if available at an affordable rate. It is perfect! The owners have done a great job. ����������

The house was very clean, the furniture was comfortable and clean, the covered porch facing the inlet was lovely to sit and enjoy the view during the day and in the evening and the dock was delightful to sit on.

The ground level had macramé swings, which we found comfortable when swinging and no worry about obstacles.

We our dog had plenty of space to run and the home's interior had ample room to set up the dog crate.

We enjoyed our stay very much because of the location to family activities and quiet! Oh yes, it was a quick 5 minute walk to the beach!

LOVE this little beach cottage! Beautifully decorated & the home's layout was perfect for our family. Grown kids downstairs & adults upstairs. We really enjoyed the huge screened porch, especially our schnauzers. Outdoor hangout space downstairs as well complete with 2 swings & strand lighting. The only things I wish it had were additional mirrors in all of the bedrooms (a full length mirror on back of ea. bedroom door would be perfect) and a regular toaster. Location was great! Beach access & pier were walking distance & you couldn't ask for a better view to watch the magnificent sunset over the inlet. We have already booked Waccamaw Exchange for next year!

This is our 2nd time staying at this location. Our trip in April was nice and everything was very clean. The main issue is that the 2 floors are separated by outdoor entrances so it’s harder for family members can visit.

Waccamaw Exchange is a very lovely home, far enough from the pier and arcade to avoid the noise in the summer, but close enough to walk down there and enjoy beautiful downtown Garden City. Take a short walk to the beach or enjoy the creek from the screened back porch or dock. Very tastefully decorated with all the necessities and ample seating. I have been vacationing at Garden City my entire life and Waccamaw Exchange is at the top of the list.

Came down for the week for Jeep fest. Nice location. Far enough away to be quiet but close enough to attractions, definitely a nice location.

Overall a great experience with this property. I have rented this property a multiple times and its amazing. Our family loves it! Recently our family acquired a new pet. He's a 45lb Labrador that's currently at 9 months old. When we rented the property it states "pet friendly". Upon check in I was informed that my dog wasn't old enough to stay at the property. GCR states says that the pet must be at least 16 months old and a maximum of 50 lbs. I was informed that management would make an exception but I would be charged a non refundable deposit of $500. After some back and forth with myself and the check in staff, I was informed that they would reduce it to just shy of $400 or I would have to board my pet elsewhere. Luckily for us, were basically locals. I took my pet home and had a friend take care of him while we were vacationing but sadly my children had to go without their pet for a week due to some miscommunications. I strongly suggest reading the fine print about GCR pet policies or you may be stuck paying a fee you were expecting.

First time staying at this house. We loved it! Great view from the back deck and only a short golf cart ride to the beach. Loved being in Georgetown when we got to the beach because we could take our pup without limited times. Kids loved fishing off the deck and my 9 year old caught her first fish! Beds were extremely comfortable and everything was very clean. Definitely a great house!

Our vacation rental was a quaint home. We enjoyed the layout of the house. Smelled clean and not Musty like some houses. We would stay here again definitely. My dog also loved the view from the large back porch!

We had the best week staying at Waccamaw Exchange! My husband and I are both local from the area and were very pleased with the location of this house and everything about it. The house was clean and so cozy and quaint. It was the perfect size for the 3 of us. From the minute we walked in and saw the Clemson memorabilia, we knew we had picked the right house lol. The sunset views across the inlet from the dock were amazing. We enjoyed fishing, catching crabs and even a jellyfish off of the dock. The house is in a great location. It was a very quick five minute or less walk over to the beach access. Using a beach cart to roll all of our stuff over to the beach made the walk even easier. It was also a very easy walk down to Sam’s Corner and the pier. We loved that the house was dog friendly, but had no signs of wear and tear from previous dogs. It had a great backyard for walking the dog. Our little Pomeranian enjoyed her vacation as much as we did. We would highly recommend this house and would definitely stay there again in the future. If this house goes up for sale, we would be interested in buying!

Beautiful view. House is very nice. Only issue was the dryer kept stopping and would not dry the clothes. Kitchen not stocked very well but we managed.

I love the way it was decorated. It was clean and neat. I must have missed it somewhere if they say that the king bed is downstairs which cannot be accessed to the living area/kitchen without going outside, but not a dealbreaker. Would definitely stay again. Loved the spacious back porch with big cushion chairs and the beautiful sunsets. Short walk to the beach and pier.

Wonderful experience! Our house was more than we imagined! The inlet/channel was an added extra. The house was especially clean . We will definitely stay at Waccamaw exchange again
