Tide Tonic

We had a wonderful vacation at Tide Tonic! It was large enough to accommodate our family and we absolutely loved the dock and being able to see the water from both sides of the house. The beach was a close, short walk. Wish the pool was not salt water! Overall, a great time!

Tide Tonic was a great house. The location is great. We brought our boat with us. The dock and pier we loved. The setup of rooms in the house was perfect for our group. The house was very clean. It had everything we needed in the kitchen—- very stocked. The pool was perfect. Would highly recommend this property. We really enjoyed ourselves and was very comfortable!

Our family enjoyed Tide Tonic Beach house. Everyone had their own bedroom/ bathroom and could have accommodated a couple more people if it were needed. The pool was a nice plus especially in The heat/humidity of a SC summer. The view of the beach across the street was nice but being on the inlet and having that view was stunning in the evenings. Great cross breezes under the house . A lot of time spent outside reading, swimming and tanning. Great parking at this home as well ! The only downside to this home was not allowing pets. Also the dryer wasn’t heavy duty enough to dry our beach towels . This is truly an awesome home and we would think about renting it again in the future

The unit was near perfect with a few exceptions which were discussed with John, the maintenance guy who was excellent. Very impressed with Garden City Realty staff and what appeared to be new sign in /registration process. So impressed that I asked to see the manager and told her how grateful I was for an early check in (never happened before), check in took about 5 minutes vs 15 or more previously and no waiting in line (was about 15 to 30 minutes previously). I have rented from Garden City Realty and its predecessor CondoTels for over 30 years and have experiences ranging from good to excellent and with units being perfect to those with A/c broke, alarms which constantly went off, windows which were all locked, major plumbing problems, etc. Garden City has done a good job addressing the issues. I will continue to rent from them.

Tide Tonic, even better this time
Second time here, we go to the beach every other year. See my 2020 review for detailed evaluation which will help to see if this is a good fit for you. First, I would like to thank Garden City Reality for the best ever check in in over 30 years of renting from them and their predecessor Condotels. We received a text at 12:30 stating that the unit was ready and to come and check in. Last check 2 years ago in took about 30 minutes signing and filling out forms previously done when booking. That was after a long line and we did not get to the rental till about 6pm. What a difference this time. There were a few forms only requiring initials all highlighted. No wait and the whole process took no more than 5 minutes. It took longer than that to tell the manager what a good job her employee did and how much I appreciated the revised check in process and the early check in. Tide Tonic suits our needs. We are a 3 generation family and eat our meals together and recreate at the beach, the inland waters, the pool, etc. New since last time are a nice sit on top kayak (we did not use as we brought our own) and 2 small charcoal grills (we did not use those as I brought gas grill which cooks steak perfectly). This house fit our group of 15 perfectly. The kitchen/dining area is SUPER tight - but we made it work. The outdoor area cannot be beat. The pool is amazing and right on the inlet. Bags, LadderBall, Bimini game, FANTASTIC outdoor furniture and a bathroom out by the pool area - absolutely the best part of this property! Beach access (TWO of them) right across the street. Would recommend to anyone!

This is our 3rd year renting this house. It is perfect for our family with every bedroom having its own bath. Great view of the oceanside and the marsh making sitting on the deck in the mornings such a pleasure! Docks, boat ramp and pool provide other options for entertainment to the beach experience. They are building a house next door this year which made for more noise than usual but that is understandable and did not spoil our fun!

Enjoyed marsh view, the wild birds, the small fish jumping. Kayaking in the marsh every day. No grill provided, but I brought a portable and cooked behind the home daily. We grilled tenderloin, fish, hot dogs and burgers. Elevator worked well for moving in the heavy stuff. The electric kitchen range is a junk, but works, The kitchen exhaust fan did nothing for smoke (another reason for grilling outside) First floor porches on rear of home are covered by second floor and have hammock and comfortable chairs for sitting at end of day to watch sunset with a drink in hand. Plenty of seating for adults ha big table and grandkids on the windowed porch. Lots of parking for six cars (we had 5) so everyone can come and go without moving cars. Easy beach access just across the street.

We pretty much kept to ourselves and socially distanced from the outside. Activities included: beach walks, view sunrise on beach, Magnolia Gardens, archery range, deep sea charter fishing and kayaking/stand up paddle boarding in the marsh creeks.

We have rented ocean front homes for numerous years for our family reunion week at the beach. This was our first try with an inlet side home and we thoroughly enjoyed this charming home and its amenities. We'll be renting this again in 2019!

The house is beautiful, well laid our for our family, and has a well stocked kitchen. Beach access is just across the street and of course you have the creek in the back with a great dock for our boat and jet skis. Parking is ample enough for several cars, our boat trailer, a golf cart trailer and a jet ski trailer. Views of the ocean and the marsh from the porches. The pool is right next to the creek which was great. A pool net would have been helpful after the landscape folks came. Their blowers were not strong enough the offset the brisk breeze coming from creekside LOL so the pool got a bit grassy. Also, the description mentioned a 1⁄2 bath downstairs for pool use but it was not available. Would have been helpful but certainly did not ruin our visit. We have been coming to Garden City for over 50 years and this was by far the best house for a large crowd that we have stayed in because each bedroom had its own bath, there was an elevator that we could ferry stuff upstairs and for our elderly guest to use, living areas were spacious and the seating was comfortable. Plenty of dining space as well. All in all a great house in the perfect location! Many new beach memories were made that week.

Our family has been vacationing in the area for many years and this property rates a top mark. The kitchen is fully furnished and the furniture comfortable. Loved the special ice maker. The sun room and decks were a plus. I fell asleep in the hammock one afternoon. The walkway to the beach was across the street and there were few people using it as there are no condos in the area. The only thing missing was an outdoor grill.

This was our 2nd stay in this beautiful home. House was well equipped with everything you would need. House is in a good location. Private boat ramp and floating dock was just what we needed. This is our 2nd year in this home. We love love love the location, pool, and being close to inlet with boat ramp for kayaking and beach access across street. Inside home is nice and enough room for all. Furniture in main living area and kitchen is a bit cluncky and so makes it crowded but we moved things around (moving back to where they belonged when we left) and all was good.

Perfect spot close to the beach, nice dock for fishing & kayaking in back with a beautiful view. Enjoyed the pool. The house has an odd layout with no back porch overlooking pool & dock off main living area - it felt very closed in.

We transferred to this rental mid-week after some bad luck at our original rental. We stay oceanfront every year right on the beach and weren't quite sure how we'd like staying on the inlet. We absolutely loved this house and location. My husband and boys got their fishing license and fished every day! The house is immaculate and well maintained. The pool is awesome!! And the views from the decks are pretty amazing too. I would definitely recommend this property.

Great house would recommend. Positives good beach access, nice size pool, great views, room to spread out, clean, ice machine, well stocked kitchen. Negatives a little pricey for not being ocean front, the only thing missing was a gas grill!!

My husband and I described our desires to Garden City Realty and Tude Tinic was their first choice. They were right on! We wanted a 5 BR home on the inlet with a dock to keep our boat and close to the beach. TT has 6 BRs with 6.5 baths, great dock on navigable water at low tide, beautiful pool with nice patio furniture and directly across the street from the beach! What more could anyone want? Living and dining rooms on top floor for beautiful view of the marsh. Far enough (1.5 mi south) from the pier to escape congestion yet easy walk for children to enjoy the arcade. Short walk to our favorite restaurant, The Gulf Stream. The elevator was a real plus for loading and unloading. Porches and decks on 3 sides. The house was super clean and furnished nicely with fully equipped kitchen. The linen service is included. Thank you to Tide Tonic owners and Garden City Realty for a wonderful week with our family! We will definitely return!

We stayed for 2 weeks and everything was wonderful.The top porch had great views of the inlet. All bedrooms were nice and large. Kitchen was well stocked. Dock was extra long. Private ramp was a bonus. Plenty of room in the house. Ice machine came in handy. Overall was very satisfied. Garden City Realty was helpful with one problem we had.

You did it again! Dennis and the gang, we thank you so much for another GREAT RENTAL EXPERIENCE!! This property was one of the best we've stayed in. Three choices; The Beach, The Inlet, or just relax By The pool!!! We took two boats down (a center consol and a Jon boat). We rode around in the inlet when we wanted to. We fished when we wanted to. Caught some beautiful flounder! This property is UNBELIEVABLE!! Our family LOVED THE SPACE. The floor plan takes some getting used to but once you learn where everything is, you'll love it! THE BEST LOACATION FOR JULY 4TH FIREWORKS!! THE BEST SUNSETS ON THE BEACH! Hopefully, we can get THIS PROPERTY again! Plenty of parking! Private boat ramp!! What more could you ask for!! Thanks again for another GREAT SUMMER VACATION!!
