Surf Master Penthouse C

We stayed for the first time with another couple in Penthouse C for a week in September 2015. The open floor plan was great with beautiful views of the ocean. For being a penthouse we thought the outdoor furniture could have been nicer and the concrete deck floor could have been painted. There were many stains on it. The living room furniture was very nice. Although the bathrooms were clean the tile needed some work. There also was not a lot of storage in the bathroom. The second bedroom had a very small old television but living room had a large flat screen tv. The pool area was clean and had plenty of chairs.

Shower in Master Bathroom was clogged (slow drain), and you were standing in water while trying to take a shower. That was the only dissapointment. Otherwise a great stay! You can't beat the views from the wrap-around balcony.

Well, we did not have a pleasant experience due to the weather. The February week was just horrible from pouring rain, clouds, winds, temps in the 30s and ice for 2 days. This had nothing to do with the rental property. The location is excellent but we think the unit needs updating. A few simple things over a weekend such as upgrading balcony furniture, upgrading the linens and towels and the replacement of a couple of items of furniture would do wonders. The owners have to think about updating the bathrooms. Front door needs replacing because driving rain comes thru with the foyer being wet. One day we had a heating issue but the rental office was right on it with a visit from their vender and for one thing, the thermostat was replaced. I want to be clear that the unpleasant stay was due to the weather. The unit's view is spectacular. Also the wrap around balcony is amazing but our weather did not afford its use.

It was amazing. The view and condo were breathtaking. I didn't want to leave. Ramona at the check in desk was very helpful with any questions I had before my stay and during plus she was very very personable. I would and have already recommended this condo and you guys to several of my clients and friends. .

Our family has enjoyed the Surfmaster consistently for several years now. The unit is always ready upon arrival with sufficient towels and accessories. We very much enjoy the wrap-around balcony, convenience to stores and restaurants.

The management of the property was very nice and professional. We were able to check in early which was helpful with 3 kids. Our penthouse had the perfect view and wasn't horribly decorated. The bed weren't the most comfortable but the sheets were clean. The cleanliness of the penthouse was fine at a first glance. Looking closer I would suggest they deep clean behind furniture and dust the bottom shelves at least once a month. The hot tub, which I was most excited about had a bit of a funny smell. I dont know much about hot tubs so I figured it was normal. As our stay progressed the hot tub became cloudy with a hint of green despite our best efforts to run a 'clean cycle'. The hot tub people finally showed up and informed us that hot tubs needs to be cleaned every week and they are only scheduled every 2 weeks. He also added that our particular hot tub 'really should be drained and refilled with the condition it is in.' yukk! If we ever book again I'd request the hot tub be drained and refilled for our stay. Other than that I was very happy with the property.

We absolutely loved penthouse C in the north tower! The floor-to-ceiling glass walls offered a fantastic view. Decor was bright and modern. The large wrap-around deck was wonderful. Great location. Easy access to multiple attractions and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. One minor complaint---the small number of luggage carts are hoarded by other guests the night before checkout! If you plan to load your vehicle between 9pm and 6am, don't be shocked if you discover the carts are missing and not available for action during this 9 hour period. Again, this is a minor complaint. Overall, the property is in good condition, staff was friendly and check-in/check-out was a breeze.

This is our second year at Surfmaster By The Sea. We choose to stay in one of the Penthouse Condos because of the large deck and hot tub. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not functioning for a third of our stay. It took a personal phone call to the company before the work was completed. Otherwise, a great location and plan to return.

This is my 3rd time staying here so needless to say, I would recommend it to others. However, there are things that can be improved. The carpets are nasty and need to be updated. The bathrooms were pretty dirty and in general were in fair shape. The sink and tub drains didn't drain well in bedroom #2. The hottub was nice on night 1 but wasn't warm on night 2 and we couldn't get it hot enough to use even though it said it was 104 degrees. 10th floor penthouse so it has a great view of the coast/ocean. Great location, nice accomodations. Looking forward to spring 2012.

Had problems getting a good connection. They put in a booster, it helped but it was still slow. needs to be improved.

Brad the manager at surfmaster was very helpful and extremely nice. Really cared that our vaction turn out to be a nice trip.
