Surf Master 910

Great property and condo.
Only complaint is master bedroom bed was like laying on the floor. I had to buy a air mattress to be able to sleep. Main room furniture was very uncomfortable. When sitting on the furniture you would sink down in the couch or love seat.
But with that said the property and condo were great and would stay there again.

First, I would likely say that working with Garden City Rental is the best possible experience for a guest. They do everything possible to make the stay as wonderful as it can be. I will always rent through GCR. Unit 910 at Surfmaster was fairly clean and conveniently located. Many items were available to the guests, including paper products, cleaning supplies, kitchen items, extra linens and towels, etc. The view was amazing and the general property was fabulous. However, there was a musty or mildew type smell that was very strong in the unit. Clearly, the owner was aware and had placed air purifiers/humidifiers inside the main rooms. The filters in these machines also smelled horribly. I am sure the property owners and managers have done all they can to make this better, but it is so pervasive that guests need to spend as much time as possible away from indoors...and that beach is the perfect place. Also, the beds weren't particularly comfortable...but the living room furniture was worse...especially the couch that makes a bed...very uncomfortable for sitting. I have stayed in many units at Surfmaster, as I visit a couple times a year. I will not likely stay in unit 910 until the source of that smell is addressed and there are updates for the furniture.

We had the best vacation! Garden City Beach Realty was recommended by a friend and our experience was flawless. Instructions and directions were on point. We enjoyed great food, shopping and golf. The condo was cozy & inviting. **Next time we come we will make sure we have our own beach towels & chairs.

Condo was nice, have stayed in 910 several times. Area rug had to be removed by Maggie, Housekeeping Supervisor- it was wet, smelled musty. She was very prompt in coming when called about it, took care of situation and apologized. All in all, enjoyed the experience. Pool, hot tub and access to beach very good.

The condo was very clean and decorated very beachy! It was in excellent condition! It was equipped with everything we needed. The big screen TV in the living room was great! The balcony had lots of chairs and we enjoyed watching fireworks there each night! We had a great time there and I would stay in that same condo again!

I've stayed at Surf Master for many years and never been disappointed. In recent years, I noticed some units needs updates but NOT THIS ONE. It is decorated beautifully, super clean, and comfortable. Top of the line furnishings and appliances like blender, coffee maker, etc. HUGE TV made me feel like I was at the movies. As always there is no views that are bad at Surf Master, the ocean looks so close you can reach out and touch it. This will definitely be one of our new favorite condos.

Condo was nice, received text message at 6:13 P.M. that room was ready but cleaning person was leaving condo at 4:00 P.M. No packet with instructions on what to do - she had someone bring it up and lay it on counter. Called for help with DVD player and ask if someone could assist me getting it to play - never saw nor heard from them. No one to answer any questions if you had them. I have stayed in this condo many times and will stay there again.

Upon arrival we found that the condo was very clean and well appointed. Plenty of linens. The large balcony was my fav. Unfortunately the pools were closed due to Covid but the facilities were well maintained. This condo was perfect for my family of 6. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. We added an additional nights stay at the last minute. We will def consider staying here again

The condo was beautiful. Very comfortable and a kitchen that had most things needed for cooking if you wanted too. Oceanview with a beautiful sunrise in the mornings and sun on parts of the balcony good part of the day. TV has been upgraded in the living room to a huge wall mounted one. The layout was great and in suite washer & dryer with a door to hid it. No problems with asking for a few minor maintenance things. Excellent friendly service with a staff.There was maintenance being done on outside of building, but didn't affect us from using balcony. Pool was closed. Hated to leave but due to coronavirus, Canadian government urged Canadians to come home. Will be back next year.

For over 35 years I have stayed in Myrtle Beach. Either at the north end or the south end of the Grande Strand. You can't beat the accommodations at SurfMaster. Oceanfront, easy, mobility, quiet,but minutes away from shopping or dining. A number of golf courses close by. Good people who are knowledgeable and professional. Just a special place.

We did like the table and the chairs on the balcony last year better that this year. We both struggled with the new high top. Not good for older couples.

What a wonderful time we had in Myrtle Beach!

Surfmaster 910 was one of the most beautiful condos we have ever stayed in. We had everything we needed. The condo was very nicely decorated and very clean. My daughter and I came down for a mother/daughter weekend and loved it so much that we spent the entire day on Friday inside the condo and out on the beautiful balcony. We took some beautiful pictures on the sunrise on Friday morning. We truly hated to leave on Sunday. I would highly recommend this condo!!!

Beautiful condo. Perfect location. Very clean and well-maintained. The balcony was large with plenty of furniture from which to enjoy the view of the ocean. We were able to use the available beach chairs instead of having to rent them. Overall, this is a great place to stay!

Due to hurricane we were delayed a couple of days. It could have been more but we took the initiative to call GCR and they contacted Surfmaster and then advised ok to check in. If we had waited for Surfmaster to contact us we would have waited another 2 days to find out all was clear and ok to travel into Garden City. Condo was fine, we had stayed there once before. However, this time, it wasn't as clean as most of your properties usually are. Found more dusty areas especially in bathrooms-baseboards and showers required more attention.

Liz -Thank you for offering your feedback. I apologize that you feel there was a lapse in communication from us prior to your stay. Unfortunately, approaching hurricanes make things very difficult in the coastal counties. Garden City Realty's staff communicated with guests during the imminent arrival of the storm via multiple mass emails detailing the conditions of our offices, properties, and the surrounding beaches. You should have received this type of mass communication on several different occasions prior to your arrival. Also, we were sure to keep our offices open and phone lines "on" until the last possible minute to field any calls from incoming guests - our offices even stayed open 1/2 day after the mandatory evacuation had been issued for our area. I apologize that some areas in the condominium were a bit dusty when you arrived. After a full season of summer rentals, most of our properties are getting ready for a "deep cleaning" this fall. At the end of the day, we aspire to provide excellent properties so we'd love to hear more specifics on what we could have done to improve the condition so that our future guests thoroughly enjoy their stay. It was our first time visiting the Grand Strand and we thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation there.
SurfMaster 910 was a bright and spacious unit. The property was in good condition. It had all the amenities we needed. Great views of the beach/ocean. The unit was high enough that you barely hear the noise at the pool area when you're out in the balcony.
The building itself was well-maintained. We did not have to wait for the elevators for long. There was always someone cleaning the wet floors from all the folks coming in from the beach/pool. Never had a problem with parking.
Location wise, it was a short drive to groceries, restaurants (some walking distance) and attractions. Murrells Inlet, which is the seafood capital of SC, was a 15 minute drive. Plenty of seafood restaurants there. Our favorites are Wicked Tuna and Grahams Landing. Our favorite activities was at Brookgreen Garden and Huntington Beach State Park which is also at Murrells Inlet.
It was easy dealing with Garden City Realty. I called to book/reserve our unit. We were sent a rental agreement, signed it and everything was set. On the day of checkin, we arrived at SurfMaster around 7pm and our unit was all ready for us. They have an office at SurfMaster so you can go there if you have concerns/problems with the unit. Two things to note, the balcony door from the living room didn't have a latch so was unable to lock it. It was not a major concern for us. Someone did come in to look at it and was supposed to fix it. Hopefully they did for future guests. My son also found a bug (1) and we reported it. The office offered to have the unit sprayed but we declined. We didn't find any bugs after that. The checkout process was a breeze.
Overall it was a good stay at SurfMater 910.
Would I recommend this property to a friend - Yes.

The condo was very nice. I loved the view and it was very clean. The only negative was the sliding door leading from the living room to the balcony. It needs new rollers, almost through my back out trying to open it.

Surfmaster 910 was beautifully decorated and had great views. It was comfortable and clean. Great internet, but could have used a TV in the second bedroom. The master bedroom shower only had lukewarm water. We reported this to the mannager and waited a day for someone to show up. The next day, I reported it again, and finally someone did come, but had to get parts and did not repair it until the fourth day of our stay. When the repair was complete, the tap dripped constantly.
We loved Brookgreen gardens, the Tanger outlet, and the minigolf nearby.
