Surf Master 709

We started going oceanfront in 2021. This is our 4th oceanfront stay. 2 in Garden City and 3 in NMB (twice last year). Each time we stayed somewhere it seemed to be better than the last. But Surfmaster 709 blew them all away! We won’t even look anywhere else going forward. One big problem with High Rise towers is the elevators. Surfmaster had a half day of problems the whole week. And I believe it can be attributed to the yearly inspection. I noticed their yearly inspection certificate was for the same dates as our stay. So let’s say 10 for location. 9 for building amenities, 9 for parking and the room gets an 11 because, besides having everything we needed or wanted the balcony was huge and it had a King size bed. Basically, we got the WHOLE PACKAGE with Surfmaster 709. Not the cheapest or most expensive but without a doubt the best value we’ve had in 4 years. And while not technically related to the hotel, the chair and umbrella guy was also the best we’ve experienced. With over 80 setups a day, he was out there early and everything in place before 9am. He was constantly visible and would check in with you multiple times a day. We are customers for life! P.S. easiest check in/out we’ve ever experienced. Modern, virtual, no key experience. Who doesn’t hate keeping track of a key while on the beach and using the key multiple times daily.

The unit was wonderful. There were some issues (DVD player & washing machine). However Dan, the maintenance man, took care of the DVD & had the washing machine repairman come & look @ it. It was determined there was a lot wrong w/the machine & needed repairs or replacement. Jackie in the Rental Office took care of the washing machine issue (the owner decided to replace the machine but it would not be delivered for a wk). And HOW did she do that!?! Well, the owner allowed us to use his personal washing machine, Jackie purchased a laundry basket for us so we could carry our laundry to his unit & Dan provided us w/a rolling cart so I wouldn't have to carry the basket (I have severe arthritis in both knees). SO! When Garden City Realty says they take care of their customers, THEY REALLY DO!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the unit we stayed in was a wonderful unit & we WILL return to it again in the future!

We ALWAYS enjoy coming to the beach. Garden City Realty has a whole host of options to stay in & this time we stayed in Surf Master 709. The unit was beautifully clean & appointed. The weather was nice, there were not a lot of people & so not a lot of noise. Garden City Realty was wonderful to work with & we WILL be coming back!

Have stayed in unit 709 for several years. Really appreciate having the 2 beach chairs and umbrella provided for our use during the week. Surf Master is the only place we stay for our annual beach trip.

Surf Master 709 was very comfortable and convenient. It had enough dishes for us. Some units are very limited. We have no complaints about the unit other than the bed was very hard. Surf Master does not have any public restroom facilities available so we'd have to clean up and go up to the unit which was an issue a time or two. There were no vending or snack machines or anywhere near by to grab a quick drink or snack. Make sure you bring plenty with you! Overall, condo was very nice but facility is lacking in outside services.

We have stayed in this room for several years at 709 we have enjoyed our visit there and intend to go back in the future the new owners have updated the room with new furniture and new owner is putting in some new small appliances. We like having the umbrellas and the linen package included that vacationers like.

The only downside was the fact that other tenants took the luggage carts into their units on Friday night. At 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, there were ZERO available carts.Perhaps a notice in the elevator about this selfish behavior might help. Finally, woman who checks you in is always very nice.

The condominium is very comfortable and attractive. We enjoyed the ocean front view very much. The balcony was well-furnished and we enjoyed spending time there. This is the 3rd year we have rented a condo in Surf Master.We have always been pleased with the units that we have rented. We seem to always come at the time that you are working on the parking area and always causes issues. That is our only complaint with Surf Master however; it will not deter our next year's visit.

The condo is nice, well decorated, and very comfortable. The carpet is a little dirty, a/c duct vents need cleaned, and it would have been nice to be able to lock the patio door. we did enjoy our stay and would consider staying again in the future.

Great location on nice end of the beach. Great balcony with a beautiful view. The condo could use some updating but overall was very nice and well stocked. The shower head is in desperate need of being replaced and it would be nice if the cleaning people would do a little dusting but, other than that I have no complaints. I would recommend this condo.

We stay a week every year and always try to get Unit 709. We did notice this year that it is starting to show its age. Some minor upgrades would go a long way. Overall we love the Surmaster and have stayed in 4 different units and have not had a bad experience in any of them.

Enjoyed the condo, location was quite (at least in April) But close enough to hit the tourist spots. Very clean only thing we noticed was coffee left in the pot, not a big deal no one is perfect. Other wise very clean, price was the best we found. Elevator was very fast, didn't have to ride a "half a day" to get to your floor. I would recommend this condo for other couples.

We only had a minor glitch with the kitchen light but it was addressed immediately by management. Ramona was especially helpful with my forwarded mail and any questions we had. She is a valuable asset to your staff.

This is the 26th year that we have stayed at Surfmaster. This is the 2nd year that we have stayed in 709. In general the condo is very nice-furniture in good condition, enough items in the kitchen, etc. The master bath looks very nice but-the sink faucets are a problem. They need to be replaced. Very hard to turn to the cold water side; hard to brush teeth with hot water. Other than that (which we could live with) the whole week was great.

I have been staying at the Surfmaster on/off since 1988. This was my first stay in unit 709 and my husband and I really enjoyed it. You can tell that the owner takes pride in making the unit look nice with the sea themed decorations and amenities. I understand rentals can take a beating and the units are older so if you choose to stay here, keep that in mind. Each unit will also be different depending on how the owner cares for it too.
I think the Surfmaster after all these years still looks fantastic. We look forward to booking with the Surfmaster/Garden City Realty again in the future.

Not all units are equal, as we were given an opportunity to see 2 units. The owners of 709 have given great attention to details of decor. The living rom carpeting is a bit worn, but the unit was GREAT! Ramona, in the office at 104 was very helpful and professional. Thanks Ramona!

It was a good value but could use some upgrades and the couches need to be cleaned. The kitchen provided plenty of cooking pans and utensils but lacked anything for food storage. the linen package and umbrella/chairs was a huge plus. I would recommend to a friend.

The unit we rented at Surfmaster, #709, was wonderful. It was a 1 bedroom, 1.5 baths, oceanfront with 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. Great location, 1.2 miles to pier (walking). The condo was cozy, nicely decorated and very well equipped. Loved the ocean views from the balcony. I highly recommend this unit and would stay there again.

We spent Thanksgiving week 2011 in #709. It is lovely with a very complete kitchen. The LR couches were very comfortable. The condo had a special reduced weekly rate also. Centrally located near a Walmart, Walgreens,Family Dollar and Dollar General,BiLo grocery and Piggly Wiggly grocery. My husband golfs and since he loves the southern courses, Surfmaster is a perfect location. Comparably priced, Surfmaster also includes linens [which is very rare in our experience] and check-out cleaning which makes this an even-better deal. We will be back!

The whole experience was very positive. I hope to return back next year. Just a few things was not correct : no can opener (the only one is electric and broken), no connection between the DVD and the television (in the room) and the stove has 1 broken element. The only thing was the two sofas were very dirty. I appreciate a lot my vacation and I will return with the same unit. Well decorated and the view (balcony) perfect! The beach is clean. We found the units to be a good value. We only require one bedroom and most other facilities have multiple bedrooms(at a higher cost) which leaves you with only a standard motel room. We fix breakfast and lunch in the condo and appreciate the fully equiped
kitchen.

We loved our stay at this condo unit. The kitchen was so well stocked, I could have left most of my own stuff at home. Linens were included as well as a beach umbrella and 2 chairs, set up each morning and taken down by the lifeguard each day. (We loved
our Russian lifeguard, Arturi too!) The water pressure was amazing, it felt so good to take a nice shower at the end of the day and the washer/dryer worked great, although I think the dryer generated it's own lint, ha ha. The elevators were quick and never
too crowded. We never had trouble finding a parking spot or a luggage cart. The room was decorated nicely and the oversized balcony was amazing! The owner may need to replace the Master bedroom mattress in the near future, it sags a little but not enough to
have ruined our stay. There were 4 of us, 2 parents, a 20 year old daughter and her 18 year old best friend who stayed in the unit and it was big enough that we didn't feel like we were in each other's way, most of the time! We could not have asked for a better
vacation this year and the condo was awesome. The process was simple to book the unit and check-in was a breeze. No complaints at all. We would highly recommend this condo unit.
