We rented 206 in Surfmaster in Garden City. It was just me and my husband. I loved the location, not too busy and yet not far from grocery store and restaurants. Loved Conch Cafe which is oceanfront and only three condos away.
It was a one bedroom 11/2 bath. We had all the room we needed. Bed was comfortable as was living room furniture. It had a Murphy bed in living room/dining area which we did not use. Kitchen was little but it worked well for us. Things that need to be added or changed are mostly in kitchen. Cabinets need lining paper, a new toaster(it was scary using it), new pots and pans and skillet. Refrigerator was older but didn’t have any issues. Bath tub needs updating as does shower head but again it worked. Drains need to be cleaned as water was slow going down. We absolutely loved the balcony. Floors needed a good mopping. We enjoyed our stay. Garden City Realty was great to work with. This is our second time working with them and just like the first time they were friendly and always were willing to help in any way.

Garden City Reality is always great to work with. We've used them for years. The condo was just as it was stated. It was comfortable and clean . I would make a couple of suggestions. Update the cookware and put a rug at the sliding door to keep from walking so much sand in from the porch. I plan to rent this condo again.

We had a great vacation. The condo had everything you could need. The only recommendation I would make is to put something about no mail being delivered to Surf Master. When we made our reservations there was an office in the building. We were not aware that this had changed and had our mail forwarded to Surf Master. We had to rent a post office box. Our mail was misplaced. I think that anyone renting for a length of time should be aware of this. Other than that it was a relaxing vacation.

This condo is great! The beds sleep wonderful, the curtains in the living room block out the light really good when you want to rest, it’s a lot bigger than the pictures make it look. We will definitely be back to this unit.

We really enjoyed the 1 bedroom condo with private ocean-front balcony. Some of the kitchen items (utensils, pots, pans, etc) need upgraded or replaced; definitely bare-bones in that area, but the condo as a whole was fine and comfortable. We'll be back; we've stayed in 206 three times now.

The check in/out process was new to us, but I am glad they went to this process. Very convenient and one less thing to keep up with (keys to condo)

We had a nice, relaxing, and restful week at Surfmaster in condo 206. This was our second time staying in 206, so for the most part, we knew what to expect: comfortable furniture, a spacious, King Bed, and am oceanfront view that was perfect for us!. There were two things that need to be improved, though. (1) This was a working vacation for me, and the internet signal was intermittent. I called the office and the office got in touch with the service provider who contacted me. The tech was very responsive, and ended up coming out to 206 and temporarily installed a signal booster, which helped improve the signal somewhat. The on-site maintenance person was very cordial and helpful! (2) The kitchen utensils, pot, pans, etc. are old and need upgraded, and we found one sauce pan that had been put up with what looked like grits stuck to the bottom (we handwashed it).

We found the unit very clean. The location is excellent as is the view. Parking was better than most condos with plenty of spaces. We never heard noise from the unit above or from hallways. The only thing that bothered me was the bed was soft and lumpy and the sofa wasn’t real comfy. Our toaster didn’t work and management brought a new one up immediately.

I rely on reviews myself when renting, so I would like to put this out there. Surfmaster 206 was very clean and I really have no complaints, I would definitely stay there again. It's on the 2nd floor, right above the walkway to the beach so it can be a little noisy at times, but wasn't really a big deal for us. On the last day, our smoke alarm started beeping and needed a new battery. We called maintenance and left a message. They were there within 15 minutes to fix it. If I had any complaints at all, it would be this....the condo could definitely use some updates and the bathrooms are very small (I know this can't be changed). No counterspace at all, which might only cause issues for us ladies who have make-up or toiletries, etc. The kitchen....not many cooking pots and pans. We only had 2 people, so we got by, but it wouldn't be that difficult to purchase a few more things. Our main problem in the kitchen was the lack of any pot holders to get anything out of the oven. Other than that, no major issues. When we arrived, all the paperwork and everything we needed was laid out nicely and organized so we knew what we needed to do, with codes to the doors and gates and our parking pass. Again, no major complaints, just upgrade the kitchen a little bit! I definitely would recommend Surfmaster 206.

The entire rental process took no time at all. Received updates and received instructions on how to check in...sssoooooo easy! Nice unit, could use some updating (would love a toaster and a Keurig or something similar would be great) Bed was comfortable. The view was perfect!!!!!

We had the best vacation ever. Our condo was perfect. I am a plus size woman recovering from hip replacement. I needed a recliner to prop my feet up. It was there and everything else was so comfortable. We have been coming to SM for over 10 years and this was a perfect vacation.

We had a great two week stay at wonderful condo right on the beach. The area, Garden City is a great location close to everything you need for whatever type of vacation you want. You can spend the whole time just relaxing on the beach, play golf, dine at tons of local restaurants. The condo had everything we needed and then some. It was very comfortable with an incredible view of the ocean.

I was absolutely blown away the minute I walked in the door. The condo was so clean and well stocked with linens and towels. Decor is updated and comfortable. The bedroom had the most comfortable king size bed. The property is so well maintained. Landscaping around the pool area so nice. I am already checking for future dates to book the same condo.

The property was updated with floors and bathrooms. The bedroom dresser needed a little love or repainted. The dining room light needed to be hung a little higher. Kitchen was a little outdated. The place was very clean and quiet. We had a nice relaxing time. View of ocean was awesome.

Great view! The condo was somewhat upgraded (new flooring/paint) and the bed was relatively comfortable (this is ALWAYS my big concern)!! Only concern was the bathtub having a crack in the bottom (covered up by a rubber mat). I would definitely consider staying at this one again!

We had a wonderful 2 week vacation at Surf Master 206 in Garden City. While the condo was a bit dated, it was exceptionally clean and comfortable. It afforded all the conveniences of home and a beach front view to die for. The building itself and the grounds were also very well maintained and it was obvious that they continue to make sure it's in the very best shape possible for the owners and guests. The pool areas were also very nice, although I would have liked to have seen the pools heated during this time of year. The check in/check out process was smooth and easy. I would absolutely stay at Surf Master again.

We loved the security features of Surfmaster and have asked our children to consider staying here with our grandchildren because we felt safe. This unit could use a little more updating but overall it was the beach we were there for and that did not disappoint. The staff was very helpful.

We just returned from what has become our annual trip to Garden City,SC. We have spent our vacation for the past four years at the Surfmaster Condominiums. We have been very satisfied with the unit. It's always well kept and clean. The only thing that I would suggest is the kitchen furnishings could be updated (it didn't bother us because we don't cook anyway, but another person might feel differently). When we go on vacation we like to eat out at the many good restaurants in the area. Our condo was very clean and comfort- able and we also enjoyed the new TV's. Thanks to all who had a part in making our stay very enjoyable. We hope to see you again next year.

We did have two concerns about the property. One was that there were no restrooms at the pool area and the other was that we had to take our trash down to the dumpster. The condo was good, clean and a comfortable bed. However, the chairs on the balcony are in desperate need of replacement, all rusted.

Been coming to Myrtle Beach (Garden City) for 24 years and all of these years have stayed at The Surfmaster in many different units. I can say that this year was the worst. On Monday morning while drinking my coffee & watching TV, I just happened to notice over at the wall behind the TV and what appears were 2 GIANT water bugs (think you guys call them Palmetto). I finally killed them and flushed them down the toilet. Since it was around the time the office opened, I immediately went down & reported it and was told that they would have someone come out and probably exterminate. Well, that was on Monday and NO one showed up or even called us back....All during the week, you could NOT go outside on the deck without the light being on because there were so many of them it was ridiculous and you were afraid to walk without stepping on them. Well, on Thursday, my husband was going to the bathroom (in the hallway one) and in between his feet there again was another bug walking as if it was having nothing to do. He called down to the office and AGAIN reported the BUG problem. He was told that someone would be out that day to exterminate and about 5 PM the lady showed up and proceeded to spray (which left a terrible odor). Now only did we have bugs but now the whole unit smelled like pee.....
I really do understand that it was hot & humid that whole week and I know bugs, etc might appear from time to time but we were upset that the office probably didn't call when first reported and we had to called them a second time for anything to be done!Otherwise, the condo was OK.... Clean and equipped with everything needed....

The condo was in a great location with beautiful views. The beach area was great. The pool was well kept, and the building seemed well taken of. We were also here during the 4th of July week (very busy). The parking was difficult as we had a hard time finding a spot all week long. The condo was disappointing as well. We paid a premium due the Holiday, but needs updated. It also had many broken blinds, broken towel rack, and soap dish was off the wall. I would never pay $1800/wk for this condo again, but was probably worth $700-$800/wk. Just don't expect too much! I would recommend this building to a friend, but probably would not this specific unit.

We had a wonderful week just relaxing at SurfMaster. Our condo was clean and had a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. The building was very quiet and peaceful. The elevators ran quickly and there were no long waits which we have experienced in other facilities. We arrived late but our keys and parking pass were there and easily accessible.

We had never stayed at Surfmaster, but it was recommended to us by a close friend, so we gave it a try. Condo 206 was adequate for our stay. The furniture was comfortable and the oceanfront view was great. I would suggest two things be upgraded: 1) The furniture (mainly metal chairs) on the deck are rusted and should be replaced, and 2) the "sharp" knives are cheap and dull, and the can opener wouldn't work.

We have stayed several places in Garden City over the years through Garden City Realty. This was one of the cleanest that I can remember. The air conditioner worked well and there were ceiling fans. The balcony was larger than we usually have. Hope to stay in this condo again!

This location and facility was one of the finest for the $$ that we have ever stayed at in the Carolinas. The only negative was the inability to get the DVR to respond to the remote, even after maintenance was there. Also, during check-in/check-out, the lady that assisted us has appeared to maybe been at her job a little too long. Not the friendliest, even following the above feedback. All that being said, would absolutely stay here again.

Our stay at Surfmaster is always like coming home. The employees are always super, and that includes maintenance etc. Some units are fondly taken care of to make us feel at home away from home. Unit 206 is one of those units that definitely needs tender loving care.

It's been a couple of years since we had a week as warm and sunny. Water was beautiful except for the jelly fish. The Myrtle Beach experience is one everyone should try. So many good restaurant, things to do and places to see. We went to the Magic Show at the Palace and would recommend it to everyone.
