Surf Master 205

The room was spacious but to many remotes for living room TV and there needs to be instructions for which one works what. TV in master bedroom worked have the time because batteries are going out in remote and the TV needs to be on the wall can see it when lying in bed if you don't use all the pillows to prop yourself up. The room just needs some TLC/up graded.

We visit the Garden City beach area at least twice a year and it’s always a great time. This trip was no different. The room was very nice, the only small complaint we had is the shower head is very low pressure, and the Wi-Fi was broke in our unit. I made two calls to maintenance but it never got fixed. They did give us the login access to a neighboring unit so we could use their Wi-Fi. Beyond that, our stay was great!

A great view of the ocean! The kitchen was greatly understocked. There was barely any silverware and necessary kitchen accessories.The hall bath wouldn’t hold water and needs to be looked at.
Beautiful location, just needs some love.

We did multiple activities from having shrimp and grits and mimosas at the Marina Bar, to cheesesteak and beer lunches on the Garden City Pier. Perfect weather allowed beautiful days on the beach. One day we rented a golf cart and exploded every street. We took advantage of the hot tub every day. Ate out in the evenings at local seafood restaurants and then would finish the day with a walk on the beach as the sun went down. Loved the Condo. Beautiful view ocean front and very convenient to the pool and beach. Definitely an A plus vacation.

We enjoyed our stay very nice unit with a great view it was a little dated though and there were some issues you may want to address the sprayer handle on the kitchen sink did not work the oven light and the light above the stove did not work all the outlets on the living room wall on the couch said only half of them worked in the others when we plug stuff in them it would short out all the other outlets including the TV outlet the dryer vent trap is probably clogged up it would take 2 to 3 cycles to dry just one small load and it will always come out covered in lint The shower control knob on the front bathroom was very hard to operate and then end up getting stuck in the shower position also may want to check your pressure reducing valve the pressure in that front bathroom was extremely powerful none of these things had any major affect to our stay we still had a great time just figured it’s issues you would want to take care of

We had a very good experience. We debated for a long time about even going on vacation due to Covid 19 but decided we would. The condo was very nice. The closeness to the beach was fantastic. Everywhere we went people were wearing masks and socially distancing. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will be staying again.

We enjoyed our stay very much and being with our children, celebrating their anniversary and anticipating the birth of our first grandchild in February. The condo is in need of some repairs and updates. The carpet should be replaced, the vanity in the bathroom needs replaced with a higher one. Really need more cookware and dishes in the kitchen. The clothes dryer needs repaired ...took forever to dry towels. The view is amazing, the balcony is very nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the condo.

This is the second time I have stayed at this particular unit. It is very comfortable but could use a bit of cosmetic love. The property is very pretty and well kept. I would recommend Surfmaster to friends and family.

We had perfect weather. The Condo was well equipped with things you may need . Everything was in working order . The only thing I would change would be to put 2 double beds in second bedroom. We were two couples so my husband and I had to sleep in twin beds. We have been staying at different units at the Surfmaster since 1993..... it’s the only place we would stay.....

We had a wonderful vacation, but I would like to point out a couple of things. The mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced. It is very sunken in and rolls you toward the center of the bed. The white chair in the living room is shedding. The material is coming off and gets on your clothing and all over the carpet around it. Everything else was great. A bad storm hit while we were there which caused the elevators to be inoperable. The hotel staff were extremely apologetic and worked hard to clean up after the storm (some stucco fell off the building). We were very impressed with the way things were handled.

Comfortable unit well furnished and clean. Great location and great view next to ocean.

The problem we had was the TV in the living room was defective. We had no TV for the first 2 days. Maintenaince came up got it going. The picture would
destorate and the maintenance man hit it on the side and it would correct for a while. Needs replacing
also the TV in the twin bedroom was a problem. New mattress needed in master bed room.

We have stayed at Surf Master many times but never in this condo. We found it to be in excellent condition. Only one minor complaint, very limited cookware. Specifically, no frying pans. Luckily we brought our own.

Overall, we were pleased with our stay. The condo is outdated. The leather furniture needs serious consideration on replacing. The condo was VERY clean when we arrived. The carpet and flooring was in very good shape. The vertical blinds need to go as they are a REALLY big hassle. The location is prime, and the view is just wonderful. The lady at the front desk when we checked in wasn't very friendly, but we chalked that up to her being almost ready to go home on a Saturday. We will rent again from Garden City Rentals.

We always have a wonderful stay in Surfmaster, but, of course,this year it was a challenge due to the parking situation. The was condo was ok, not what it could have been if maintenance was uptodate. The furniture was very uncomfortable, there was not enough hot water and there was not enough pots and pans. I tools the desk that the shower was not working and the "stupid" vertical blinds were falling down. Plaster from the ceiling was also falling down.

7 very nice days. Great weather and lovely beach. Far less busy than
the beaches farther north.

The only issues with the room where the faucets in the bathroom sinks
that need to be replaced.

The lady in the office was a delight.

Our stay at Surfmaster 205 was over all a great experience. The only 2 complaints we had was 1.The kitchen - was out dated and there were so many glasses in the cabinets we had to rearrange them to fit the food we bought at the grocery. and 2. The front door lock - We have a 3 yr old that is at that age that can and will open doors no matter where they go. The dead bolt most definitely should be replaced because even when locked, when you turn the knob it unlocks itself. To ensure that our daughter would not possibly open the door in the middle of the night, we placed a table in front of the door. I didn't like doing that either because that in itself is a fire hazard.
We loved staying at Surfmaster 205 but I am strongly suggesting that the front lock be replaced ASAP. The safety of our child is always more important than some outdated kitchen. We want to stay here again next year but you can bet that asking about that lock will be my first question.

We overall had a fantastic stay at the SurfMaster II. Although our condo was clean, I would suggest current decor checkmarks with the tenants. My sister-in-law had beautiful updated furniture and decorations while ours looked liked something out of the early 80's and when you are paying the same price,the quality should be there. The property at the SurfMaster was kept up, but the elevator area was quite messy by the end of the day, which is understandable, but try to keep up on the cleanliness a bit more toward the end of the day. The stairwell area seemed dirty with cigarette butts and papers at times~ the stairs could use a good paintjob. This might sound like a lot of complaints, but we had a wonderful time and really loved the proximity of the condo to the beach. We had a great time and overall our good experiences outweigh the negative.

We originaly rented a cond in royal garden the air was not working properly and it was hot,my wife called the office of Garden City Realty and spoke with Jaqualyn. This was our first family trip with our 10 month old and it was such a great experience. We had a maintenance issue when we arrived and a maintenance man was there in literally 10 mins and had everything taken care of. Everyone was pleasant and great to deal with from making the reservations to checking in. I would highly recommend Surf Master to friends and family esp. room 205. It was very clean, nicely decorated and the view from the balcony was just perfect. Our first family trip was a success!!
