Surf Master 106

Well equipped kitchen for someone that loves to cook. Open living-dining area with great seating. A couple dining chairs in need of strengthening. Carpets would love to have traffic areas cleaned. The condo is light, bright and a happy space to live. Bed comfortable. Staff was exceptional. Keyless lock wouldn’t open on arrival and friendly staff arrived in minutes. Learning to gently pull on the door when entering code was so helpful. Restaurant next door and more very close. Chive Blossom in Pawleys island is a must dine if you enjoy a great experience! Garden City Realty is a win when it come to a great vacation experience!

We had a great stay October 21-28 in Surfmaster 106. The unit was clean and comfortable. Our only issue was that we were unable to connect to the Internet with the password that we were given. We were able to access internet with our hotspots on our phones. This was our only disappointment.

We love SurfMaster 106 and have stayed there many years. This time we did have a few issues but nothing that kept us from enjoying our stay. The clothes dryer wasn’t working properly and took 3 cycles to dry a small load, bathroom fan in master bath wasn’t working and the toilet in the half bath ran constantly. I hope these issues have been fixed for the next guest. Very convenient for the beach and for dining out. We love the convenience of it and will definitely keep staying here.

Let me start by saying that we would like to rent this condo again next year from 5/12 to 5/19/24.
It is a very nice and very clean condo. I think this was the 5th time we rented 106.
One minor issue was that the exhaust fan in the master bathroom didn’t work. A bigger issue was that the clothes dryer took a very long time to dry the clothes. We didn’t have that problem with the dryer during our previous stays at 106.

You couldn't ask for a better location. I plan to stay there again. There were a few minor things (an outlet that didn't work and the toilet running constantly) but nothing major. I could tell that the oven, dishwasher and microwave were all new. I loved being ocean front on the first floor.

Overall the condo was great! Location could blnot have been better. Parking is a little snug but not terrible. The washer and dryer in the unit was a bonus but the lint vent needs a cleaning. We were only able to do one small load because it took over 3 hours for the clothes to dry bc the lint was so built up behind the trap. The only "negative" was the day We arrived, we were told the day prior that we would receive a text message when the unit was ready and we could go to it. However that text never came. I called the leasing office at 415 and nobody answered. We ended up just going to the condo and taking our chances it was ready. If checking in on a Sunday was the issue, then maybe we should have just been told Saturday it was ready and to go after 4. We wasted half a day waiting for a message we stillnhave bot received. Other than that everything was great and we will 100% be back.

On September 30, we experienced Hurricane Ian from this unit. We felt safe the entire time. The unit was comfortable and attractive with a great view and a few convenient steps to the upper parking lot. We would definitely stay in this unit again.

We loved the location and rental. The room was clean and provided clean linen and towel service.
We would have preferred no carpet, the carpet was stained.. Dark out curtains in the living room would be better for the guest sleeping there. The blinds there had missing slats and did not work well.
The decor of the room was great! The staff was excellent!!

This is our third summer staying at Surf Master 106. We reserve it for a 5 night stay. Our condo was ready when expected, clean, great parking, nice family atmosphere. Grocery store, pharmacy, gift shops, ice cream parlors and restaurants are all within 2 miles of the condo. The view is to die for... First floor balcony facing the ocean. A lifeguard was stationed from 9 to 5 directly in front of this condo.

We had a wonderful time in Room 106. We have stayed there twice. We love the location near the steps and overlooking the pool and hottub from the side. The room has plenty of kitchen amenities, comfy sofas, and I LOVED rocking my little guy to sleep in that rocker/swivel chair overlooking the moon on the ocean at night. We feel at home here. The staff at Garden City Realty were amazing to us even know they are short-staffed due to the pandemic. We never felt slighted. Thank you Garden City Realty, Surfmaster, and Condo 106 for being part of our lasting memories!

This is our second time staying in condo 106. We love the view of the ocean. The location is close to shopping and grocery stores. We spend quite a bit on the patio. Check in was super easy. The central air works well, but it is very noisy. They give you plenty of towels. I would stay here again.

Wonderful stay, beautiful weather, and fantastic staff. Condo was clean and welcoming. Spent a lot of time on balcony, beach and sofa (when raining or cool). After going to the office every day during the last 7 months this was a much needed break. Was able to read a book a day :) The AC unit rattled but after a couple of hours was just white noise and didn't take away from the peace. The maintenance man apologized and said they were trying to get it fixed. This is actually my second stay in this condo and I will probably come again. Great place for a solo trip.

Only one complaint: deck is evidently slanted down toward the condo so that when it rains water pools at the sliding door. We had to sweep water off the porch again and again just to be able to walk out on the deck.

condo 106 we were not happy. 1) the couch was terrible, they had cardboard under the cushions. 2) the mattress was stained, warn, mattress cover hardly fit the bed. 3)the bathroom shower curtain was all stained at the bottom & was too long for the tub. 4) the coffee pot leaked all over the counter.
5)the verticule in the living room were dirty & sticky, the strings on the verticules was all tied together & broken.6) rugs were stained.

Wonderful condo! Exactly what was pictured on rental!My husband and I loved our stay! My husband and I stayed a few nights with our 2 boys. Our 2 y/o slept in a pack n play we brought with us. My 9 year old sleepy on the pull out couch. I laid on the pull out with him to watch TV and you could feel the bar right in your back but he didn't have any complaints. The king bed was fine for me. We didn't use the kitchen much since we were only there a few days. It had the essentials and a trash compactor, though we didn't use it. We enjoyed that the balcony had a small dinette table where we could eat. That's hard to find in the smaller condos. The condo was clean. We loved that there was a door separating the bedroom from the main living area and the half bath was in the main living area side. It gave the feel of privacy even in such a small shared space. The owners are the original owners which was cool. We love Surf Master and have stayed in several until. We love the location and the pools.

Great location, nice pool, wonderful view with large balcony. Condo has nice king bed, but the sleeper sofa isn’t fit for adults or children. I could not sleep at all, and it detracted from my vacation to be so tired. Pool area needs bathroom access; you have to go to your condo to use the bathroom. Ample seating at dining table, loved being able to wash and dry clothes. Door knob is not as shown in photo so bringing a child safety door knob cover didn’t help keep my kids safely inside. We had to block door with dining chair and luggage. Also, even though it’s a first floor condo, the balcony is not ground level and my toddler could fit between rails. We had a great time playing at the beach though.

We decided last minute to stop to stay on the ocean. Garden City Reality found the perfect condo on the beach for us. The view from this first floor condo was perfect for morning sun rise from the living room. Easy access to the second level of the parking garage. Beautifully decorated, new kitchen counters , comfortable bed and furniture made me feel at home !
The Surf Master Building is convenient walking distance to the Garden City Pier, restaurants and bars. Perfect location!

We would return to 106 when we have the chance.

We absolutely love being on the first floor! The location is great for restaurants and many other attractions. The office personnel and staff were very friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed ourselves. Me and my husband Michael brought my Mom down she is handicap,she hadn't been to Beach in awhile. We loved the room it was very clean and beautiful. We were so thankful to find such a nice place to rent by the day. We were able to take a 10 day family vacation. We have started at the surfmaster many times before. We loved the 1st floor location. The only change we would make is more safety aspects for children. Our 3 year old could stick his head through the banisters on the deck and unlock both deadbolts. We had to pile chairs and toss in front of the door to help create a barrier. I didn't sleep well because I listened for him all night.

Nice rental for the most part. Pretty clean and amazing views. We stayed in late September so being on the 1st floor was fine but it would be too noisy to stay that low in the busy summer time. The patio door needs replaced. It will barely slide. A small child or an elderly person would have significant trouble with it. Will definitely stay in this building again but on a higher floor next time.

Loved this condo and the color scheme. Cleaning crew did not clean the microwave, did not vacuum under the table or clean the strip mirrors. They could have done better. Beautiful little condo and would recommend to anyone that needs this size accomodations.

We have stayed at the Surf Master before, and we always enjoy it. 106 is a nice unit and is well decorated. I was surprised to find a couple beach chairs and a boogie board in the closet. Had a bit of trouble with the TV in the bedroom, but I was able to quickly fix it without calling maintenance. It is convenient to check in and out since the Garden City Realty has an office in the complex. We will certainly return to the Surf Master and would gladly stay in this unit. My only complaint would be that the unit did not have a stereo for me to play my CDs, and the cable company they use did not have the Investigation Discovery channel.

Our week in Surf Master 106 was wonderful. We arrived on a Sunday and the room was very clean and cool when we arrived. There were five of us that stayed in this room and we had plenty of room. Our three kids slept on the roll away and the pull out couch. They had no complaints about the beds. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. There were plenty of towels and wash clothes given for the week. We felt very safe staying at Surf Master. Our kids, ages 15, 12 and 11 would often go up and down the stairs and elevator to the beach and pool. When we make it back to the Myrtle Beach area, we will stay at Surf Master. It was a wonderful place to stay.

This is our 2nd stay at this unit (106). They recently spent money on upgrades and it is absolutely lovely. New furniture, rugs,tv's, paint, artwork, bathroom upgrade. So comfortable and so relaxing. The view is spectacular from the balcony. Can see beach, pool and spa. Sheltered from the wind. Can sleep 5 people. Just my husband and I and what a relaxing time we had. Thank you. We will be back! The check-in is easy and the people are so friendly.

Our rental experience in Surf Master Condo #106 was fine. The condo was fairly clean. All kitchen appliances and utensils were bottom of the line in quality but they worked and the rental price of the condo was great. The mattress was worn out. The washer and dryer worked great.
The view from our front room was excellent.

Upgrades to 106 were much needed and are nice. However, a new bed WOULD REALLY TOP THINGS OFF.
Also, the kitchen stove vent needs to be cleaned, this is a fire hazard.

Nice new living room furniture. Kitchen and appliances need updating. King bed needs to be replaced! Horrible to sleep on! Tile floor in hallway was dirty as shown by our white socks turning black after walking on them only half a day. The Surfmaster complex is wonderful and the Garden City realty staff is fabulous and very, very accommodating. This unit looks right over the beach walkway and gate to the pool/hot tub, so if you don't want to hear the gate slamming shut constantly, you may want a unit higher up or away from the gate. Also, there were no paper towels or cleaning supplies, as well as no hair dryer, so come prepared. We've stayed other places where even cooking basics were supplied, so this was a little disappointing. We will definitely stay at Surfmaster again, however we will want a different unit.
