Surf Master 1010

Great weather, condo and unit. Stayed in same unit last year. We liked it last year and this year was better due to most of the issue we had last year being addressed.

We love the building and have stayed here many times. The unit could use a little TLC. Needs new blinds, cracked tiles in the bathroom, original cabinets need to be painted and the small bedroom needs a new bed. There is also a lump in the living room floor near the window, which was unsettling. The unit was clean and the management responsive.

Everything about the rental process was smooth. Communication was great. The room itself was OK, not nearly as nice as units we have had before, but it was also less expensive, so that is to be expected. Some amenities that were below average were: patio furniture, bar stools, lack of carpet kept sand everywhere. Also, one thing not related to the property that I would love to change- allow us to have golf carts! You issue every guest 2 passes, so it would be nice if they could use them for 1 car and 1 golf cart.

Always enjoy staying at Surf master and booking with Garden City Rentals. We stayed in room 1010 and some updates need done. Some of the blinds in the living area were down and laying on the floor, throw rug in master bath is old and needs replaced. Need more options for charging electronically devices, not enough or convenient placed outlets

First of all it has a wonderful view of the ocean.....however, it needs up dating. I was without a washer/dryer for almost a month.. repairman came six times before owner purchased a new stackable unit. In the meantime year old refrigerator was not working correctly, good news after four visits from Whirlpool repair, I believe it will be replaced since it’s under warranty. The best is dealing with Garden City Realty. The office and maintenance staff went overboard to make sure that they took care of my needs regarding appliance issues. The condo needs better to supply mixing bowls, blender, a decent toaster, etc. The second bedroom needs to have the ceiling fixed and rehung. Room is very stuffy without.

The location is perfect. Condo is very nice but could use some updating . Master bath needs to be painted as well as the kitchen cupboards. Ample ant of dinnerware and glasses. Needs new pots and pans and some mixing bowls. Rented for 2024 !!!

Review SurfMaster by the Sea Unit 1010
I will be re-renting again for two months in 2024. Working with Garden City Realty is always a good experience . Office and maintenance are awesome. Condo needs some updating like painting kitchen cupboards and having better pots and pans. Master bath need holes in walls patched, painting, fix sluggish tub drain .But SurfMaster is always a great stay !

Very enjoyable stay, excellent water pressure in showers. Master bath sink would not get hot water, sink and tub drained very slowly. Kitchen cabinets could use some paint or updating.

Overall our unit was really nice and clean. Loved the oceanfront view, one of the best! The master bathroom could use some updating - plastic shower curtain needs changing and the ice maker in the freezer did not work.

Our family came to myrtle beach this year for family vacation with our two small kids. This place was everything and more. Probably the best thing about it was the fact that it is so close the beach. I mean you walk 5 steps to the elevator and get off and walk 20 steps to the beach or 10 steps to pool. It was great because of the kids and all the stuff we had to take down. We also were able to go to the room if needed to eat and grab something. Clean, convenient, so much to do and a total blast. We had a few small issues where we needed maintenance and they were there right away to assist. And the ocean front balcony was another feature we loved too. Just gorgeous. A+ place

The unit is quite nice and furnished beautifully. The one negative thing I will say is that this unit is not as clean as the other units we have stayed in. I clean for a living so I do notice everything. Attention in master bath tile around floor I dusted myself because it had not been done for a while. And sliders in main space were a mess. I think they tried to clean but whatever they used did nothing but smear in one BIG circle. I went out and bought window cleaner and did it myself.I think owners need to know about cleaning service.

We have stayed at Surfmaster for years now this is where my husband came as a child! No complaints on our room except for the room was not as clean as we have found it to be in the past. That being said that has nothing to do with the room in general more so the cleaning staff I believe.

The Surfmaster is the perfect place to stay at the South Carolina beach. Its close to a lot of cool stuff and not located near the crowded tourist area.

Had a wonderful stay! The view from our condo was so beautiful! Watching sunrise and sunset are soul stirring experiences. The condo was in fine shape and very comfortable.

the condo was very nice kitchen well stocked liked the open kitchen area. the weather was great. tile floors were easy to keep clean. I was afraid being on the 10th floor would be a problem but it was actually nice. My only complaint was the heating/ac unit. there was no way to control the temp, called office but no one ever showed up. we learned to control the temp by keeping the door open or closed as needed I like the door lock vs key took a while to memorize the code. My only other complaint it was very dark in the rooms I had to buy a lamp for light when sitting at the side table. could not see well to read or play games. \thank you for a nice place

It was clean... property is a little older but in decent shape. This particular room could use a little paint and culk redone around sinks. Lots of dishes and silverware, etc... furniture was comfy and living area was roomy. Staff was great parking was fine. The only thing I would recommend is an Ice machine on premises. Ice machine in room was slow. Love that there is an office in the building for Garden City Reality and lived the keypad vs. a key to get in and out. Overall though great stay!!!

This condo was a beautiful place to spend time at the beach. Very clean, comfortable furniture and beds. Never had to wait for the elevator. Nice pool. Would stay here again.

Check-in staff were very efficient, the room nicely furnished and very clean with a spacious balcony. Great location for golf in and around Murrell's Inlet and Pawley's Island. Pool area and on-site security were excellent. Great view of the beach and ocean.

The unit is very nice! Had to have maintainence come to fix the sofa bed and reset TV's. They came quickly!. Only complaint is that the TV in the master bedroom had an eerie glow when turned off, so we unplugged it like the previous person had!

This is a very nice condo, but it does need some updating. The furniture in the living room especially needs replacing, as the arms on the couches are falling off! However the view is absolutely incredible. We had extended family meet us for a group vacation, and therefore had 5 separate condo units in this building. This unit did not compare to the others unfortunately, and I paid as much (or in some cases, more) than they did. For this reason I feel the unit should be updated, as it is not comparable to other units at the same price point.

Rental company easy to work with. Decided to go down at the last minute and had no problem. Property was as described. Would stay here again. Only negative was the mattresses on the twin beds. My daughters say they were a little hard and uncomfortable. However they mad it through ghe week! The view is awesome from the condo!

Very nice unit, but we would not stay again until the 2 mattresses are replaced on the twin beds in the guest room. My one child slept on the sofa bed because it was so uncomfortable and the other child placed the 2 mattresses on top of each other. Other than that it was a good unit.

We were very happy with our choice to stay at the Surfmaster 1010. The unit was as described and in perfect order. We were there because of a baseball tournament so we found the in unit washer and dryer invaluable. Great View of Course from the unit! Hardly a wait for the elevators and the parking was not a problem at all which was a nice surprise because we have had troubles in the past at other Condos trying to find a place for our Crew Cab pick up.

The one thing we found very bothersome was each night about 930pm other guests had started there very own fireworks displays until at least 11pm. Im talking morters exploding right off your balcony here, not firecrackers and sparklers. Very annoying.

Everything was as described. Great ocean view and convenient to most things we wanted to do and places we wanted to visit. Only negatives were elevators worked somewhat sporadically, one of the pools was closed due to some maintenance issues and parking spaces were limited. All of these were offset by the property, the nice unit we stayed in and great location.

The room was great. Plenty of dishes, pots and pans. Everything was in great shape. The only thing I seen a problem with was the dish washer doesn't clean very well. Don't think its getting hot. Everything else was great. Would stay in this room again.

This was a very nice condo and we enjoyed it. The only thing we were disappointed in is the second bedroom (the one with the twin beds). I would call this a "kids room". As our party had four adults (two couples), we took this second room. There was a small table between the twin beds, but no lamp (so you had to get up and walk across the room to shut off the only light). All the rest of the condo was very nicely updated, but honestly this room needs a little more work. It looked like it was an "afterthought", done quickly and with the bare minimum. If the owners would just add a small table lamp between the beds it would help a lot. Fine for parents with two kids, but I would not book it for two adult couples again.

We have rented this condo 3 times now, I still have not seen any improvement in the kitchen area with pots and pans that I have commented on before. Also the new energy mgmt. system will not let you control the AC at night as the system is set-up to not allow overrides. That is unacceptable. Great location, ample space, great views. I think I'll try another location after this visit.

We have rented through Garden City Realty for many many years and Surfmaster is one of our favorite properties. This unit was very clean, nicely decorated and well appointed. Surfmaster's beach location is absolutely perfect. Having the rental office on the premises and all towels and linens included is also very convenient. And the weather cooperated splendidly.

We have rented this unit before and will continue to do so given the view and the affordability. It seems like a home away from home and we love it. the tub needs repair as it drips, the kitchen pots and pans could stand a major refresh as most are completely worn out. Other than that a great place to stay.

Parking is an issue if you leave and return late in the evening or night. Had to park across the street three nights. The twin beds were very firm. Had a great view of the ocean, the reason we were there. Pool and hot tub were very nice.

We had a great vacation. The beach is very nice and clean. The property was well tended to, but does need a bit up updating, such as painting and general maintenance. The condo was updated, but the kitchen is poorly furnished and the appliances need to be updated. There is security on the property, which is nice, but I found it a bit ridiculous when the guard questioned us the minute we arrived and parked. We explained we had just arrived and were calling other family members, who did the actual check-in for our condo, for the parking permit. He proceeded to write a ticket and rudely stated they better hurry! Other than that our stay was enjoyable and the staff was nice.

We were disappointed in the unit,1010. It is in need of an overhaul. Needs carpeting in bedrooms and living room. Lighting was not good and the TV was terrible. We have a different unit for 2014. Also, the living room furniture was in need of replacing, but the building was great.

The king bed is 2 twins put together so there is a crack in the middle of the bed. The hot water heater only last for 2 showers. These were the only things that need fixing. Enjoyed our stay.

Overall we were very happy with the unit at Surfmaster. The only complaint would be the hot water temperature. It was impossible to have the desired water temperature for our showers.

Overall, condo was nice. Not happy with the all tile floors. The "king size bed" in the Master Bedroom, was a king size frame with two single mattress on top. Left a big hole down the middle.
