Surf Master 1008

Place was nice, met our needs. Furniture was a bit uncomfortable and dated, kitchen was useful but dated. Beautiful view of the ocean and fireworks.

This is our third year staying at Surfmaster for all of February and March!
We personally feel these are the best months to be there based on our circumstances. Every year has been excellent and all of the staff at Garden City Realty are excellent, especially Jackie and Dan.

Good communication from management; easy in, easy out. Clean. Well maintained. Master bedroom and living room had the view of a ship at sea: all sky and water. Two of three bedrooms were dark with small windows and no good view. I loved having laundry facilities. The building sits too close to the beach, so little in the way of attractive dunes.

We had a great time and the weather was beautiful. I do believe that the condo does need some TLC. The stools for the kitchen bar are in bad shape. The toaster should be replaced (had time to leave, grab toast from waffle house and get back before toast was done), Alarm clock in master doesn't work, bathroom vent fan needs cleaning. Window vertical blinds are missing slats and are very difficult to operate. We did stay in the same condo 1 year ago and it was much nicer. The master comforter should be replaced, very soiled. Garden City Reality is a great company to work with and I don't think 1008 is up to their standards.

I recently treated my kids/grandkids to a week at 1008 Surfmaster condo in Garden City. It was a spacious unit with room for all 9 of them to eat and sleep.

This condo was a great fit for me and my family of 7. Great amenities and location. The only thing I would say was a little disappointing was the lack of baking sheets and extremely old pot holders. We had to buy new ones to get items out of the oven.

Garden City Really was AMAZING!! They were constantly in touch to let us know about the aftermath of Hurricane Ian and the impact to our holiday.

The condo itself was a bit disappointing. It is very dated; furniture was uncomfortable and some needed fixing (several dining room chairs). The furniture is well worn. We are all for comfy and cozy but this missed the mark. And the dolls in the bedroom display case need to go.

For a week it would be fine as you aren’t in the condo that much but for an extended stay you need comfort.

Very relaxing however cut 2 days due to IAN. Would definitely stay here again. The view was fantastic. The beds were very comfortable. The bad was that the ice maker did not work and that’s all. Everything else was great. We were very happy that we were able to book this place with only a couple hours notice due to the place we originally were booked at was a dump. When you view pictures of the place, you can believe what you see when renting from Garden City Reality. Thank you for being the best with great people representing your company!

Property was beautiful with comfortable furnishings and a well-equipped kitchen. I would recommend looking at additional lighting in the living room area. Only overhead lighting fixtures in the living room area.

A beautiful beach the view was amazing, i have recommended surfmaster to my friends. The customer service was excellent. They are constantly working on the property to improve. This unit could use some updating but this did not hinder the great time we had on our vacation. Restaurants in area were great, Russells and River city were great.

We had a beautiful, sun-filled vacation at Surfmaster 1008. Condo layout, bed configuration and bath facilities were wonderful for 6 adults. Kitchen appointments (plates, bowls and silverware) need to be more plentiful for guests who expect to cook. Dishwasher does not clean well. The large skillet needs to be replaced. It’s not usable because of scratched surface.

The process was easy and the location was perfect. The furniture was a bit worn, 3 grey felt chairs has damaged legs; we couldn't use them. The dresser in the room with 2 beds has broken draws and the veneer on the night table was cracking.

Overall we were pretty satisfied. There are a few things that you might think to include in a rental to help vacationers such as trash bags, coffee filters, dish soap. Sheets and towels were clean. The dishes were dirty and we had to wash them before using. Kitchen faucet was leaking. Compared to other rentals in the area, it was pretty good.

This was a very clean, comfortable and beautiful condo. The only issue which really wasn't an issue is that the light fixture in the Master Bath would flicker when taking a hot shower with steam and may need to be checked, but other than that everything was GREAT!! I would def stay in this unit again!!!

This is our second year renting this unit. It is a great place to stay. Their were a couple small problems. Some of the electric outlets did not work or were worn. The refrigerator did not feel very cold with the setting being on the coldest.

The rental was very nice however a the blinds need to be fixed or replaced. The slats on the blinds in the living room for the sliding glass door are going all different directions. The blinds in the window in the living room are missing a slat. Some of the slats on the blinds in the master bedroom are broken. If you try to close the blinds some of them stay open because the top part that holds them in is broken. Other than these few minor things the rental is very nice overall.

Very good! The unit was great for our 3 families. Garden City Realty was very responsive when we needed an electrician and they replaced broken balcony chairs within a few hours of notifying them.

Surf Master 1008 has an absolutely beautiful view of the beach and ocean from the 10th floor. Overall the Surf Master property was very nice, enjoyed the pool and hot tub very much and loved that it is on the beach! The location was ideal for us as we were there for bike week and close to all of the places we frequented. On our arrival a few minor maintenance issues need to be addressed (hot water heater)and the maintenance guys were great.
As for the unit itself I think it needs some further updating especially the bathrooms which were severely outdated. I was in the master bedroom and the bathroom sink gasket was moldy green and disgusting, housekeeping supervision could have at least temporarily cleaned it up with some bleach and a scrub brush.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Surf Master and would recommend it.

Loved the condo.Need to stock the kitchen better. We had to buy a bigger pan to cook some things. The condo was clean and big. Plenty of room. Balcony was large and the view was great. Perfect location close to everything.Property management was very easy to work with. Will stay again.

Very enjoyable room. Condition of property was very good with only very minor problems including a number of missing or broken strips in vertical venetian blinds, one missing mirrored wall strip, two broken balcony chairs and two broken balcony chaises. View was terrific being on the tenth floor with floor-to-ceiling windows having having both an ocean front and north facing ocean views. Overall it was a wonderful property.

Surfmaster is my favorite place. The unit was good but could use some additional TLC. The dishwasher was temperamental and didn't work most times. There were other small issues that could easily be addressed such as a rocking toilet and a leak at the big window during a heavy rain. The blinds needed attention and the king bed mattress in the guest room needed replacing. I love the end balcony and the room layouts. I love the general area also.

This condo was almost perfect. Plenty of room, the view was amazing, very clean and spacious. One little issue is the range hood does not vent to the outside, just through a filter. We had to open the doors to get a cross breeze to make sure the alarm didn't go off. Perfect location. A much better stay here in Garden City Beach then further north.

We had to have the maintenance man come and check our dryer and dishwasher. The dryer didn't spin and we could not open the dishwasher. They had an appliance man come on Tuesday and fix the dryer but had to submit a quote for the dishwasher. The office said this was the first complaint they have had for the dishwasher. This is hard to believe since their maintenance man could not open it either. Overall a good stay plenty of room.

The property is a good location. However, there were several problems including a leaking washing machine, broken tile in the bathroom, and a broken drawer in the dresser. In addition, we saw a roachbug and a spider.

They only issues we had were a non-working outlet in our master bath (was fixed), our door did not work properly forcing us to have to slam it shut and our "neighbor" in 1009 was nasty about it, approaching anyone/everyone that came to our door to express her dissatisfaction. The drawers in the master bedroom are still broken from last year. Overall though, was a good trip. Would choose a different condo next year but will be back!

The condo was great for our group of 7 women. Plenty of room so we didn't feel cramped. The view was spectacular with all the glass facing the ocean. There was a problem with the blinds not working exactly right, but we were able to get by with that. We would definitely stay here again. It was extremely convenient to restaurants, grocery stories, flea markets, etc. Overall, we would give it 4 out of 5 stars.

We loved being right on the beach and I brought my 89 year old mother who loved the room especially for the TV which was large. We cooked a lot of meals in the kitchen for both my family of 6 plus mom and my sisters family of 5. They were in 1010.

We loved our unit, the property and the staff. My only commenets are minor but should be addressed with maintenance probably. Outlets in both the master bath and front bedroom didnt work, dresser in master bedroom has broken drawers in it and the washer was way too small- almost wasnt worth doing a load in it. Kitchen cupboards could use some updating....everything else was fabulous and were definitely coming back next year!!!!

We enjoyed our stay. This is the second year we stayed at Surf Master. ( last year we were in a different unit) Every thing that was "visible" was very clean. My only negative comment was on the "non- visible" areas. Example : while
squatting down to pick up something I dropped, I found Doritos under the sofa - we didn't bring Doritos. Same under the beds-- a little vacuuming would have gone a long way . Other than that, no complaints. Will stay again.

Overall impression and experience was decent. However, it would be nice to know the information regarding "beach ordinances" before I arrive. No canopies or umbrellas in front of the property umbrellas (must be anywhere behind), umbrellas can't be near
the path of the beach patrol (which is behind the canopies), canopies have to be 10 feet behind property umbrellas. $25 a day for umbrella and 2 chairs. Not trying to be difficult but everyday was a new ordinance. These were all spoken "ordinances" that would
be nice to know ahead of time. Also, if there is a requirement for renting an umbrella and chairs, the information should be afforded prior to the rental agreement. If I enter an agreement to rent 2 units with a family of 14 members, I believe a few umbrellas
in the deal is not asking alot, or at least give the information in the rental agreement. We likely would have rented a few umbrellas??? Enforcement of such ordinances and additional beach rental requirements left as the responsibility of a few 20 year old
non-native english speaking lifeguards is not the best overall impression. All that said...nice pools, and we liked the units we rented. A good possibility to consider for another trip.

We stay in the Surf Master allmost every summer. Its Location is perfect if you want to be out of the ruckass of myrtle and enjoy the ocean, yet close enough to everthing to be only minutes from food, fun and whatever else yor looking for. I will keep bringing my family back.

location...location...very pleasent and nice...our unit we stayed in was very and comfortable...but it serious Needs to have the REfrigerator replaced...ice maker didn't work all the time,we had to get ICE...all in all..we would stay again if they would replace the "fridge" we really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returning....Have agreat day;

The condo was beautiful and kept very clean but I wish there had been a little more in the way of utensils in the kitchen area. We could have used a mixer and a few more forks and such Also the fry-pans were a little lacking. We had a wonderful week and the view from the balcony was spectacular.
