Sunny Day

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Sunny Day. The house is very spacious with plenty of room and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you may need. The tabletop icemaker was great!! Great location not being beachfront. Close walk to the beach access. Close drive to grocery, shopping and restaurants. Definitely would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Sunny Day! It felt like a home away from home! We enjoyed the short walk to the beach, no need for a golf cart. The kitchen was fully stocked including an extra ice maker! The home was clean and had more than enough room for our family of 10. The pool and outside areas were great, so much fun for our grandchildren! There was also nice accent lighting around the pool for evening swims.

Wonderful house for a family!
The location is a short walk to the beach and the house was very nice and clean! Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was extremely well supplied with utensils, pots and pans. Pool furniture was new and the string lights at the pool area added a cozy touch at night time. We also enjoyed the gas and charcoal grills. I would highly recommend this house!

Our stay at Sunny Day was better than expected. There were games and toys to play with. Our grand kids enjoyed the pool, however, as in some other reviews there were tree leaves and debris. It would have been nice to have a skimmer. The ocean is just a short walk to the beach access and we enjoyed sunrises every morning. The property was clean but not spotless. The beds were comfortable, the furniture was ok for us. The rocking adirondack chairs were very comfy. The TV has been upgraded. I would recommend to stay here again. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I have rented from garden city in the past and always have had good experiences this time was no different.Sunny days was the perfect place for my extended family and myself. Sunny Day was clean and ready to relax and enjoy a family gathering on the porch, at the beach, and around the pool. The location was perfect. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Although the location was close to other vacationers, it was quiet and we did not feel closed-in. We look forward to another stay at Sunny Day.

The positives were this house was in a perfect location to the beach, places to eat, and things to do. You are literally less then 1 minute from everything. My 80 year old grandparents were able to walk to the beach with no problems. The pool was well maintained and big enough to lounge in. The check in and check out process at the main office was super easy. The negatives are that the property wasn’t very clean when we started our vacation. There was several crumbs of food left in the fridge and chips left in the cupboards in the kitchen. The bottom cabinet molding was off and our dog kept trying to go under to get an old ball that was lodged underneath. Also almost all of the umbrellas for the pool were broken so we had to go buy new ones.

This was a good rental because we were able to bring out dog. A lot of places do not let you do that. The place was very clean when we got there. Except for the top comforters. I had them come get them and wash them. Besides that everything was good. I liked that I did not have to bring my own linens.

My friends and I had a FANTASTIC time staying at Sunny Day. There was 11 of us and there was plenty of room!! The house was clean and well maintained. The two suggestions I would make would be to add a few more lounge chairs by the pool since the house accommodates a large number of people and upgrade the mattresses. They were a bit soft but had the egg-shell crate covers which helped some. other than that, it was GREAT!!! We all would stay here again!!!

What a wonderful week we had at Sunny Day! The house is beautiful and very spacious! The kitchen had everything you would need and then some. The pool area is awesome! The balconies were great! Nice and big to accommodate the whole family. Very nicely decorated too! Just Loved the house!!!

We had a great week at sunny day. The house had ample space, was stocked well in the kitchen and had lots of outside toys for the kids. The house was clean and a short walking distance to the beach. The customer service at garfen realty was fantastic

Some things i would suggest need attention ( but this is me nitpicking). The mattresses need to be replaced. The table and chairs in dining area were all loose ( my father tightened them all). There was no scimmer forus to get the bugsout if the pool. There were also alot of mosquitos at night by the pool.

The pool was a good size evenwith us having 6 kidsand few adults in it

Overall iwould rent again

House was clean, loved the balconey, in a great location. Living space was very accommodating. Could not use the pool because it rained all three days we were there. Do wish the house had internet. Linens were not there when we arrived, but were brought quickly after calling.

Golf trip with a bunch from Cincinnati. The house was very clean. The pool was clean. The staff was excellent about getting back to us very promptly. Less than a two minute walk to the beach. I would certainly recommend this property.

I really had a very nice vacation....I loved being able to "come home". The only thing was a downer are the upstairs beds. The matresses need to be replaced.

Our family of 8 stayed at this home with our 2 small dogs. The house was clean and had the perfect layout to give everyone space. You could not tell it was a dog friendly house as there was no odor or dog hair. The pool and close beach access were perfect! The only thing missing at this house is Wi-Fi. We didn't realize that wasn't part of the house arrangement so I had to find other locations with Wi-Fi to do work that had to be done each day. Would definitely recommend to others.

We thought that the property was great with plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The only thing that would keep me from renting again is the lack of wifi. When booking from now on this will be a must with kids with phones and electronics.

I stayed in this beautiful property with all my family and we had a great time. It had everything and more than we expected. The kids enjoyed the pool a lot and we could walk to the beach everything. Very nice. Would definetely come back next year.

Overall, the house was nice, but we were disappointed with the pool. The description said it was 14x20, but I actually would say that it is 12x20 (big difference in a pool). In the backyard, there were weeds, but most especially there were weeds growing along the concrete pad around the pool. A few were so high that we had to pull them. The bar area in the kitchen with the stools, we discovered the 4th stool (closest to window) was broken. We went to use the dishwasher and discovered water sitting in the bottom, so it appears that it is not draining, therefore we did not use it all week. The dryer does not dry clothes, and we discovered at the end of our week, that the pipe leading outside from the dryer had so much lint, it looked like a shirt hanging from it. I think that is a fire hazard. Some of the bathtubs were not very clean. The ceiling fans and blinds were caked with dust. I cleaned some of the ceiling fans that I could get to. The drain in the bathtub in the King bedroom was not working properly. I called the rental company asking if there was a grill on the property and they said no, but there is actually a grill. It could have saved us the packing room if we didn't have to bring our own portable grill. The ping pong table was nice to have, but again needs a little TLC, and ping pong balls need replenished periodically. We purchased a new set that we left at the house so we had some to use during the week. Finally, the furniture off of the living room (the wooden pieces) could use some cushions; not very comfortable. We were also disappointed that the house did not have WiFi, however we realize it's an extra expense, but would have paid a little extra to have that feature. It comes in handy with multiple kids and their game devices.

Loved staying at Sunny Day last week...everything was great except the beds, which were very uncomfortable. I guess you shouldn't expect great beds in a vacation home, and of course they won't be like home, but wow. Otherwise, the house was clean and close to the beach, the rental company was extra helpful and very courteous and professional. I would definitely rent from Garden City Realty again, and I would definitely choose Sunny Day again!

It was a nice house. The pool area needs a lot of work. Both umbrellas were broke and the area around the pool is basically just weeds. When we got there the pool was green, but that was fixed. The rest of the house was nice. The house was also really close to the beach and quiet.

For the most part,we were satisfied with our stay at Sunny Day.The location was fantastic.The size and amount of space was adequate.We had 8 adults,2 teenage boys and 3 little girls.The kitchen was very well stocked.GCR was great,even letting check in a little early.We were disappointed with the pool area.Really needs some work.There's nothing but dirt and weeds.Would have been nice if the little kids could have used that space to play ball or was just too nasty to even let them in there.The ping pong table is in really bad shape which was a selling point for us.Some of our party said that one of the queen beds was broken.Also need new grills.We look forward to our next beach vacation.Would stay again at Sunny Day but only if these things were fixed.

Great location, quiet, very short walk to a real nice beach. Had a couple of maintenance issues upon our arrival. Pool was filthy and not circulating. Refrigerator/freezer was not operating properly. The former was addressed by management company but not corrected. The later was addressed and corrected with a new unit being purchased and installed within 48 hours. Even with the maintenance issues noted, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would recommend Sunny Day and encourage future vacationers to consider Surfside Beach as a destination. This unit is animal friendly which added to its selection and our enjoyment.

Over all a pleasant stay. Back yard definitely needs some grass planted. (Realize it would have to be grass that's grows in shade.) Also, this is 2013, get WIFI. I love pets & that's why I picked this house but if pets are going to be on beds, maids need to wash comforters. Very nice touches with all the games made available and great having the ping pong table under the house. Also, was very impressed with all the safety features. (Lots of fire extinguishers and an escape ladder. Very nice porches.

This was the first time we have rented a beach house. It was simply amazing and we can't wait to do it again. Sunny Day is a beautiful home but lack some decorations. It was in a very convenient location to beach and grocery store. We enjoyed the porches in the morning and evening and loved the pool and the fact that it was partly shaded as the afternoon sun got stronger. My only real complaint is that it is listed as 2 queen beds. There is only 1 queen bed and the bedroom that is supposed to be a queen had a very uncomfortable full size mattress. My son complained everyday about how lousy the mattress was. After being there for a few hours we didn't really feel the cleaning company did that great of a job before we got there. My daughters dog found several different kinds of doggie treats under the beds. It did not have a dog smell to it even though it is dog friendly home. I would also recommend if you are renting linens that you only rent sheets and bring your own towels. Felt the towels were motel quality. A musty smell coming from under the sink and pantry. I was glad I had a scented sachet with me. Kitchen was very nicely furnished with just about anything you would need to cook a nice meal. Could use a few more forks however. Overall, we had a very nice experience and would recommend this rental.

Sunny Day was clean and comfortable. Located on a quiet street just a short walk to the beach. Beach area was excellent. The grandchildren enjoyed the pool but it is a small pool not large enough for the adults. Downside no internet. Really!!!!

Shared bathroom didn't have a working lock. Tub didn't drain. Pool needed attention upon arrival and needed repair on Thurs. Disturbing smell of Clorox upon entry. bathmats dirty. Headboard loose and held together with a wire and a clamp. Den floor had not been mopped. Top element in oven not working. These are small issues, however numerous. Overall though the house was in good repair. It met our needs and I would recommend it and would consider coming back when we return to Surfside. We had a great week. Thanks for the professional service from the rental company.

Sunny Day is a very nice property situated in north Surfside Beach. Overall our experience was very good although there were a few glitches. When we arrived the air conditioning was not working. We reportedit and someone showed up in two hours. Not too bad a response although he said the air company did not want to Coe until the next day. It was 84 in the house and climbing. He di finally call the air people and they came out promptly and fixed it. the next day four of us went out on the back balcony and could not get back in e house. The knob was corroded and would not open the door. As embarrasing as it was. We had call to someone walking by to come into the house and pry open the broken knob to let us back in. Maintenance came and fixed it two days later. finally, although the pool water was clean, the sides had a stain of some sort on them. don't know if it was algae or not. Other than these issues we had a great time although we will probably rent a different property next time.

Our family enjoyed staying at Sunnyday in Garden City. The Children loved the pool and the beach. On the beach we were in walking distance of the Atlantic Ave. pier which we walked during the morning.

This was a nice, clean home. Some wear and tear (as expected at the beach) - mainly on the carpets. One block off the beach with easy access. Liked that they permitted less than a week stay in this home as we were down for a shorter trip than usual. We had items stolen from our vehicle while parked at the home, but we were distracted and had forgotten to lock the doors. Would not change our opinion of the beach and would recommend this home, espcially if being oceanfront is not a priority.

We recently enjoyed a 6 day vacation at Sunny Day. The home is well appointed and in a great location. Far enough away from congestion of Myrtle Beach, but close enough to visit the attractions if you wish. The walk to the beach is very short and the beach nearest the home is great. Further down there are broken shells that make the sand rough, but nearest the house it's shell free. The only negatives (very minor in terms of affecting our stay) would be the carpet in the home is very stained and the pool was essentially unusable (although we wouldn't have used it due to temperature anyway) due to debris from the neighbor's tree. The pool service came on day 3 and skimmed what he could (no vacuum) but within an hour it was filled again. My husband cleaned out the skimmer/filter and pulled out 3 handsful of debris which helped somewhat. The skimmer provided at the house had a torn screen so we couldn't try to clean it ourselves. Like I said, the temperature was too cool to use anyway but had it been warmer, it may have put a damper on it. Can't control tree droppings, but maybe the pool service could clean the skimmer/filter and not just try to skim what's floating on top and sunk to bottom. The only other thing, again didn't necessarily affect us on this trip, would be maybe switching the upstairs bedrooms layouts. The two bedrooms with private baths have two beds in them and the two bedrooms that share a bath have one bed. If we had been traveling with multiple families, having the rooms that would be used by kids (2 beds) share a bathroom would be more convenient than those with one bed that would typically be occupied by adults. These are VERY minor issues just provided as feedback not complaints. The house sits on a quiet street and even the street to cross to beach access is light traffic. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning with coffee as it gets the morning sun. I would absolutely rent this house again!!

A fantastic location which provided the perfect combination of seclusion (at least relative to Myrtle Beach standards) and convenience for short drives to just about anything we wanted to do. A short (less than a mile) walk down the beach or Ocean Blvd.
took us to a few fun local bar/restaurants. Although, with the three porches, a private pool, and a ping-pong table, we rarely left the house.

Porch light switch was faulty. Refrigerator took a full 24 hours to cool items (it had been turned off before our arrival). Other than that, great stay. This was our second time at Sunny Day and would recommend it!

Overall we had a great time at Sunny Day.But there was a few things that need to be fixed. The umbrellas at the pool were broken and a kitchen cabinet door was also broken. When maintenance was called they did not come to fix these issues. But we will stay here in future visits.
