Love the house the location. I suggested to the rental agency that the house needs some TLC.

Overall a very good vacation week. Good beds were a plus. Ice machine a BIG plus. Could have done without the roaches. Obvious an exterminator had been there because they were dead/dying. Just a little unsettling to wake up each morning to several dead on the floors that I had to sweep up.

Loved the open layout of Strike II and the two separate sitting areas with their own TVs and plenty of seating. Separate 1⁄2 bath on the first floor was nice. Enjoyed the front and back porches, both with steps to the ground—easier to flag down the ice cream truck! The ice maker was a fabulous amenity. I fortunately packed my crock pot and big griddle as they were not part of the kitchen stock. House is supposed to have premier trash service with no need to drag cans to the street but ours was missed on Tuesday. GCR called but despite refuse company’s promise to return on Wednesday, there was no service until the next regular pickup on Friday when we made sure to drag the cans to the street (owners may want to reconsider this expense). A small Amazon order placed for delivery to the house was routed through USPS for delivery but ended up being undeliverable—we assume because there is no physical mailbox for this house. We enjoyed our stay at Strike II, special family memories were made, and we would recommend!

The house was just the right size for our family of 7. The place was super clean and cozy. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was excellent and being far away from the crowded areas was great. We’ll likely stay again!

Property was exactly what we needed for our 9 family members. Agree with previous reviewers that upstairs area can get a little warm. Owners might consider a ductless unit to supplement current air conditioner for that space. Property was well maintained and clean. Ice machine was a welcome bonus. Would recommend this property and would consider staying there again.

The house was big enough and parking was perfect for both bikes and trailers. (Biggest draw) We were allowed to rent additional days, the beach was the location we prefer to walk, and we had some good seafood and weather. What more could you ask for?

We loved the location and how close it was to the beach public access! We also loved the downstairs living area. But, the upstairs was a little hot and the toilet up there didn’t flush good. Guests didn’t enjoy staying upstairs. But overall, we had a good stay and liked the house and also liked that there were drives on both the front and back of the house! Made it to where no one was ever blocked in. Plenty of parking for everybody. Thank you for the stay!

The house was nice and spacious. Great location and excellent amount of parking. Photos are accurate. Staff were extremely helpful with a routine maintenance issue that was quickly resolved. This vacation was one of our best yet! We can’t wait to return to SC!

Nice location. About 2 miles from the pier where there is less noise and people. You can also use the EZ up canopies here because of the location being Georgetown county instead of Horry where they are not allowed. The house accommodated 5 adults and 3 children great. The kitchen was well equipped. But as advertised, the under counter ice maker does not work and appears it hadn’t in some time. We did call about it and a repair guy came to take a look. He had no idea and said he would put in a work order for their appliance company to come. That never happened, only received a call from GCR stating a part has been ordered. ???, what part? Anyway, don’t count on having a working ice maker. The one with the refrigerator does work. Although we still had to purchase bagged ice during the week. Also would have been nice to have an outlet under the house to run a fan or radio while sitting around , grilling, etc. As we understood it, 300 of their rental properties were rented our same week. So kudos to the cleaning teams and rental agents for making the process run smoothly. We love Garden City/ Murrells Inlet and will definitely visit again.

Strike II was perfect for us. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The handle on the refrigerator was broken but that's easily fixed. I would suggest updating to a Keurig and curtains in the master bedroom. It's very bright!

We had 6 people sleep very comfortably in this rental. Our group did have COVID related concerns, but we felt the property was very clean and that the staff provides plenty of details to assure you that sanitizing the space is a priority. We felt safe from that perspective. Also, you are close enough to plenty of food places you can pick up from or have delivered to you - but the house seemed to be farther down the inlet, so we didn't come in contact with any large crowds (especially during the week). The outdoor shower proved useful after a long beach day and the picnic table was used 2-3 times during a quick afternoon summer storm to play games in or to work out in with some shade. Overall, for the price and quality we received in service and accommodations - we would stay here again.

Our extended family visits Garden City Beach each year, and concerns about COVID-19 led to our renting a second house. Strike II was the perfect solution and Garden City Realty provided outstanding service in assuaging our concerns about check in and cleaning. The house is spacious, with a sweeping lawn for games and space under the house to relax on a rainy day. Only steps from the beach, the location is outstanding, and the house is well maintained.

The vacation rental was is a great location. The view of the ocean and the breeze from the ocean made relaxing in a rocker on the deck very enjoybale for reading a book. The house was clean but in need of some painting both inside and out. I do hope this can be remedied during the off season. My family enjoyed our vacation and will return in the future.

Our family had a great vacation at Garden City staying at Strike ll. It was a quiet location and the beach was not crowded. The house was across the street from the beach but we had easy access to the beach. The 3 bedrooms served our family well. We had 3 small children that loved playing in the nice yard in the evenings. Overall it was a great place to stay.

The Strike II was a very nice rental property about 2.5 miles south of the Garden City pier. We loved the quiet location and the easy access to the beach! The property is on the Second Row; however we still had a view of the ocean! We also rented a golf cart for the week which my 9 year old daughter just loved!!

We would definitely recommend this beach house! It is in the quieter area of Garden City. The beach is a quick block away! We are a family of five who likes to be together, so the open common area of the house was nice. We bought the linen package which was very nice. We only had to bring beach towels. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed.
Since Garden City is south of myrtle beach it does take about 30 min to get to a lot of the attractions. Murrells inlet is close though. We went on a banana boat ride and had dinner there. Any restaurant there is great and the ride was great fun! Dolly's Pirate Voyage was a good show if you like that sort of thing and the Grand Prix racetrack is awesome for kids and adults! We could have stayed another week!
Two things for the owner! Loved the decor and layout! A clothesline and a new dryer would be great additions!

The refridgerator was leaking water and we called the office on Sat. to report it. Then on Tuesday a new refridgerator was delivered without any notice. Luckily we were home but had to unload and load the new fridge. There could have been better communication between the realtor, owner and us so we could have been prepared for this. The delivery men expected us to remove doors and move furniture for them.........not exactly what vacationers want to do.....the realty should have been there to take care of these needs.

Great home and huge, clean yard for children. Only disappointment was the outside grill. We like to cook out and the grill was tiny. Well stocked kitchen. Nice ocean view. Beautiful, clean beach and wonderful families vacationing at Garden City.

House was very nice.kitchen was very well stocked! Reserv. Process was very unorganized. It took 3 email attempts, 3 fax attempts, and finally mailed letter in describing occupants. Suggestions: more DVD players. Put recycle trash can outside. Nice that linens were provided! Include wifi password in check-in papers
