We had 14 people stay in Ruckers Cottage, and there was plenty of room. The pool was great for the kids, and it was an easy walk to the beach.

Loved the house! It was super clean and so spacious! We loved having the pool and the beach basically across the street. The only negatives for us was not being able to dock our boat there at the house because at low tide it was super shallow and dry and the washer and dryer being in a room downstairs with the air conditioning. Other than that we loved it! Oh yes, it was also super quiet which was awesome!

We had a great time! Plenty of room and nice location.
Would like to see the outside kept up a little better.
Pool. Garbage was dropped from previous renters and not picked up. Just little things-but overall- nice.

We had a wonderful family vacation with perfect weather! The only complaint we had was the kitchen was not stocked with enough dishes, glasses, and cookware/utensils.

Rucker Cottage was very nice. The layout worked very well for our group. Only complaints the kitchen needs reinforced with some cookware and small appliances. The old coffee maker broke for us. An ironing board would be helpful..overall our stay was very nice.

Great house! My grandkids love the pool and the beach is an easy walk. Excellent layout as far as bedrooms and baths.
Wish they would dredge the canal because it's high and dry at low tide.

Excellent vacation rental. Good location, just a few steps from the beach and the pool is great for the grandchildren. I took my boat and kept it at the private dock. Great all around.

My family and I had a wonderful weeks stay at this vacation home, beautiful home, walkingo distance to the beach. If I had one complaint it would be that the floor of the home was dirty when we arrived, very sandy, had to sweep and mop, when we got settled in, other than that it was a great place to stay at garden city!

We loved Rucker Cottage! Quiet little corner of the street. Clean upon arrival and had no real issues during our stay. Pool night light was out but fixed within a couple of hours after we called the next day. It was perfect for our group of 12. Comfortable beds and plenty of space when everyone was moving about the house at one time. Took about 30 seconds to walk to the beach access. The inlet view from the big screen porch was beautiful every morning/evening and a favorite hang out for everyone. Pool was a big plus with the teenagers this year. Separate outside entrance to the downstairs bedrooms was really nice. I would recommend adding a baby gate for the staircase in case renters have little ones. The dishwasher and refrigerator could use an update and the pots and pans are quite worn, BUT clean and usable for what we needed. We will definitely consider this property in the future! After years of rentals with GC, this has been our favorite!

We had a great time, this could be the last vacation where the whole family can get together due to kids getting older and pursuing careers. We have been coming to Garden City Beach for 16 years now. Can't wait to move here one day.

We had a great time at Rucker Cottage. My 8 yr old grandson (who is a fishing fanatic) loved having the dock & so did I. We crabbed, fished & threw the cast net from the dock. Loved the saltwater pool. Needed to have one more bathroom for all of our family. The laundry room is on the outside of the house which is unusual. We bought a laundry basket to make transporting the clothes easier. We all had a blast & beautiful weather!

Our family had a wonderful time - the inlet wasnt as exciting as we thought - being at the end it becomes kind of a "catchall for all the **** brought in" but it was different and access to the beach was fantastic. NOTE- shorten up the dryer exhaust - not enough circulation unless you pull the whole dryer really far away from the wall.

We had a very nice stay at Rucker Cottage. The space was the perfect size for our family of 10, with the favorite spot being the screened porch. We liked that the public beach access was only a minute walk away and having the private pool was really nice. The only complaint we had was that the tile floor in the main living area, kitchen, and porch was filthy upon our arrival. Our grandson's feet were completely black after walking around for only 5 minutes. I called the realty company, explained the situation, and they promptly had someone out to the house to clean it for us. They were very good to work with. The rest of the house was properly cleaned. The only other issue for us was the cove didn't have water at low tide meaning we couldn't keep our boat in the water. We had to get a boat slip at the local marina. We thought it had water all the time since it had what was called a "floating dock". I would recommend this house but would make boat owners aware of this problem.

I've been Renting houses for vacation from Garden City Rentals for a few yrs, I've always been very pleased with the rental properties I've choosen, this year my Famiy had a very good time and we will be back next year, the home was clean, the pool needs repair, but the kids enjoyed it anyway, the pool guy was on his job! rating #5, maintenance was great any complaints they're always available, I just love Garden City Realty!!

We had a wonderful time there it was very close to the ocean. The pool was wonderful. The children had a great time. The home was clean but needs a real good cleaning. Our fridge went out and the A/C also. but was very pleased with the speedy maintence. We would highly recommend this property to any family. Very quiet but has all the attractions and restaurants close by.

The weather was great. The house was large ennogh for our huge family. The pool was great for the kids. The bottom of the pool needs to be redone. The new outside patio was nice. The only real negatives are that the kitchen and bathrooms need to be updated.

Perfect location on the creek and a short walk to beach. No water at low tide but that's only once a day so we worked around that.

Loved the location because it was close to public beach access and on the inlet. Note the water does go down when the tide goes out however it was not an issue. My son loved fishing on the dock.
We enjoyed the pool and the screen porch.
Would have liked it to be a bit cleaner.

This is our 3rd time at Rucker Cottage, and we loved it again. The owners continue to update things about the property, and we could not find a better value for money. There is always something to do there without leaving the area - the beach, the pool, the floating dock, etc. We even had manatees visit our little inlet!

I was very pleased with this property. Apon arrival it was very clean and neat. The inlet and the floating dock was an added bonus to the already close proximity to tue ocean which was one block away. Waking up to the inlet veiw was amazing. My family and I enjoyed our stay and cant wait to come back next year.

We love Rucker Cottage! It was our 3rd summer vacation on this property, and it has gotten better every year. We have 13-15 family members with us each year, and there is plenty of room to spread out yet still be close together. The homeowners continue to make things nicer with updates to the home every year, and we plan to return every summer that we can!

Washer & dryer were in carport area. "Laundry room" was dark, dirty, mildew smelling and nt accessible from inside. Kitchen was very small & outdated. Kitchen supplies were limited. Bathrooms were outdated. Enjoyed screened in porch & pool area. Dock was nice, however no water at low tide. Good price--don't expect too much for the bargain price

Enjoyed the whole experience.
Great location, close to ocean, far from major bunches of people, great pool- spent a lot of time there. Fished in the canal, walked a lot, close to good eating - Sara J's, Nance at Murrel's Inlet, excellent sleeping facilities with privacy. As good as any place we have stayed and better than a lot. We signed up for next year.
A few things missing: light bulbs we had to buy, a broken light fixture, kitched utinsels. We gave a list to the realtor.

I enjoyed my stay at Rucker Cottage very much! Everything was located within a few miles. The pool was cleaned every other day. The only thing that I was needs improvement was the number of garbage cans. There is only one on the property and that got filled quickly.

The house and pool were great and so was the location. The only problem for me was this was to be a fishing vacation and there was no water at the dock at low tide. it was completely mud. When we inquired about the dock pre-rental we were led to believe you could leave a boat at the dock but it was not so. Everything else about the house was fine.

This was the 3rd time we have stayed at Rucker Cottage, and we have been pleased with it every time. The owner continues to update the furniture and amenities each year. The private pool, floating dock in the back, and closeness to the beach make this a place we will return to every year!

This house was perfect for us! I was a little concerned with only 3 bathrooms, but they are set up so that each bathroom is shared by 2 bedrooms. I love that the downstairs bedrooms are accessible from the inside of the house, and that they each have 2 double beds ~ a must for teenage boys that don't want to sleep in the same bed. There were just a few measuring cups or spoons, one of the mattress covers in the downstairs bedroom was torn up, and the bedspreads in the downstairs bedrooms were kind of dirty ~ maybe because they were way too big for the beds and drug the floor. All said, we would sure stay here again! The pool in the back is great, and being on the inlet waterway with a dock is fantastic!
