Royal Garden Resort 1212

Enjoyed being at RGR! I have stayed at this resort for over 35 years in different rooms (same rooms several times). I will continue to stay at RHR because it is so convenient and I'm so familiar with layout. The room I stayed in this trip was 1212. Everything was great! The only complaint us the outlets need to be replaced. Some did not work! I brought an outlet with USB plugs so Everything worked out! I will definitely be back to RGR! ��

Nice place! Definitely needs an update, as it does look like it’s been decades since any updates have been done. The biggest issue is there are a few outlets that didn’t work properly. This place definitely needs an upgrade to the outlets (plugs fall out). The place was clean, and the location is excellent! Overall, it was a nice place and we had a great time.

Frat, I have been using Garden City Rentals for about the last 10 years, This year I was in Surfside for the months of January, February, and March and then again for the month of October. I would always call Garden City Reality for my Vacation needs. The condo is always ready for us and enjoy the view of the ocean. Jackie Alston has been my representative and she is a very knowledge and friendly person. When I call, I always ask for Jackie, Thank you for your service. I needed maintance for the TV and those gentlemen were so great and knowledge. Thank you for being so great.

The condo was very comfortable. We come back to this resort often and this was the first time we didn’t have all the kitchen items to make it a “home away from home”. The burners on the stove are lopsided and provides uneven heat, there wasn’t any baking dishes other than a pan small enough for one. This is minor however and a reminder to take a kitchen kit with me. I will definitely rent again from this realtor. They were very kind and personable, even allowed me to add on an extra day as I wasn’t feeling well to drive home.

Garden city beach was a great location for a family vacation. It was myself and my wife and our two daughters ages 8 and 12. We had awesome weather and plenty of sunshine every day . We hung out at the Pavilion a lot and had dinner there as well a couple of nights. Great location , close to Myrtle and Surfside. Only downside to our stay was our room. It wasn’t exactly like it appeared on the site . The unit was outdated and needed some work . The internet was not working and the televisions did not work as well. Garden city did a great job though of responding quickly and fixed the issue and brought us a Roku since the tv didn’t work . The tech RJ was also from Kentucky and an awesome guy !! Great overall trip just would pick another room next time .

Amazing view. Loved the beach and area.
The kitchen has limited pots, pans etc. for example there is not any kind of cookie sheet to bake biscuits

Even with the clean up after Ian was going on we had a great weekend. The weather was perfect and the accommodations at the Royal Garden Resort was great.

Location was great. Enjoyed pool and patio. Shower in large bedroom and around toilet was dirty. Top of trash can in kitchen was not clean. Accommodations were great

Its a great place to stay for vacation right at the beach. View was awesome from the 12th floor room. Enjoyed to watch free fireworks. Staff was friendly. Indoor and outdoor pools, and a Indoor SPA. Residents were very friendly and service is good. One we were locked out of our apartment after business hours, we could reach someone quickly to open the door for us.
Two minor issues are that the furniture and building are a little old; elevators needs frequent maintenance and this makes longer waiting time. Overall great experience, will be back.

overall vacation was great. The elevators are the worst part of staying in this building, secondly is the parking. I know they are working on the one to make it better. they should really allow guest to rent golf carts.

The unit was very clean. Couch was not very comfortable, could use updating. Some of the kitchen items were lacking, not easy to cook a feel meal with the cookware available.

Overall super nice place, most people don't spend lots of time in the unit while on vacay any way. Pool was very relaxing, great deck and lots of chairs available. The indoor pool and hot tub area could use wome kind of ventalation. Chlorine smell is very very strong in that area and always stuffy.

We enjoyed our rental. It wasn’t really large but it had ample room for us. Our ocean view was nice. Got to see the lunar eclipse from our porch. Especially loved the heated pool. So warm even though it was really cool outside. It was a great pool.

Overall, 1212 was an above average experience. Location, property & condo were nice, clean & safe. Furnishings & appliances were nice & worked. TV & internet worked well. Walls show some wear that paint would fix. Washer/dryer area needs to be vented differently. HVAC system & vents needs servicing & cleaning-had trouble removing humidity unless set really low. Overall very nice and enjoyable! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home!

The amenities at Royal Garden were great. The parking situation was a little dicey but you could manage. The condo itself was very nice, but really needed a thorough cleaning. Very dirty hallway and baths.

Could not ask for better location. It was beautiful. To sit on balcony and watch the waves and everything going on below, sunrises/sunsets was amazing. Condo was older and could use some updates.

We had a wonderful time. Room was exactly as described. No problems there. Was advertised with a workout room, but could not use - was for owners only. Lifeguard had a rule that all umbrellas on the beach needed to be in a line - don't understand that one. Parking garage was packed. Should consider only giving guests 1 parking pass during the busy summer months. Had a hard time parking late at night.

Had a wonderful, much needed vacation. Clean, quiet, nice room. Would love to have had a rocking chair in the living room. Wouldn't hurt to have some new furniture on the balcony.

We enjoyed our time at RGR. The room was spotless, the view from the balcony was beautiful, and the location is prime. I am planning on booking something else in this resort next year. My only complaints are about the elevators (very slow), and the downstairs bar and grill, the Sandbar. It was closed the entire week.

The maintenance folks were very nice, but the lady at the desk was downright rude. Disappointing. The pools were very over- chlorinated..our suits faded so much they are completely different colors (others said the same thing) and I think my daughter's hair is damaged beyond repair and we may have to cut it (it is all the way down her back). The garage was built for golf carts...not the cars of today. Mom's compact Volvo even had trouble. GCR was great as always.

The place was very clean and offered easy access to the beach. Fantastic view. The only drawback was the maintenace work going on around the hot tub and indoor pool and the removal of the pool table and air hockey game from the lounge area. These were
assets to the property and were scheduled for removal.
