Excellent. House worked well for our family. Screened in porch added to our experience. Pool and hot tub were very nice as well outdoor whower. Elevator made house accessible for members of our party. The hall bathroom was for handicapped people but is used by everyone and the bathroom associated with the main bedroom on first floor has a tub shower and low toilet rather than a step in shower and raised toilet. Excellent view of beach and easy access to beach. Garden City Rental was efficiant in handling any questions and concerns we had.

Our third time renting Mariposa. PERFECT!! Love Long Bay Estates, our 8th year here! Garden City Realty has been the best to work with.
- Karen W. from West Henrietta, Posted: 04/09/2024
We totally enjoyed our stay at the Mariposa. We went in September and the pool wasn't heated but the hot tub was cold at first but they came and fixes the problem fast. The house was very clean and well furnished. The beds were comfy and the linens were soft. We had a group of senior citizens so the elevator was a dream come true. Enjoyed the screened in porch to keep the bugs out at night. Easy access to the beach. Location was great not to close to the attractions but close enough for us. I would definitly go back.

The house was exceptional!! It was a home full of love and southern charm.
- David D. from Coraopolis, Posted: 11/28/2022
Had a great week and the house worked really well for us.
- Janet W. from Olive Hill, Posted: 08/08/2022
The house was perfect for our family! 6 adults and 3 children - everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The dual appliances (especially the dishwashers) were really appreciated!
We had trouble with the hot tub not heating properly though.
- Allen B. from Visalia, Posted: 06/27/2022
Next to the state park and no high rises was like a private beach! We had some issues like the upstairs AC and elevator not working. Maintenance was fantastic! Sent someone over in 5 mins to fix the elevator and dispatched a 3rd party repairman the next day as well as a 3rd party AC company after 11pm. The communication about the issues was very, very good. I would absolutely stay at Mariposa or any other Garden City Realty property again in a heartbeat.

It was wonderful!!!!!
- Barbara S. from Conesus, Posted: 04/18/2022
Overall great experience. Staff was responsive with the limited issues we had. House was very well laid out and functional. Stocked well on the kitchen and the rental company provided good starter sets for things. The only thing I woudl note is that there was a hammock pictured that was not there. It ok, as there was plenty to do. LOVED the pool being under the house---provided shelter from sun and an option even when raining. Don't hesitate!

It was wonderful. Wish I didn’t have to go home.
- Angela H. from Ronceceverte, Posted: 06/22/2021
This property was perfect for our family and our needs. The elevator and first floor master were key for my father and mother. The house was clean, spacious and well decorated. It had a very cozy and beachy feel. The amenities were plentiful with 2 of all major appliances. The views and location on the beach and next to the state park were phenomenal and offered some quiet and privacy away from the crowds. The pool and hot tub gave us some trouble (I’d recommend providing more detailed, step by step instructions for use) but the kids enjoyed them nonetheless. The rental agency was very friendly and responsive and took care of any needs or questions immediately. We did not leave the premises often but the surrounding area was very touristy and filled with strip malls and souvenir shops. Walmart, grocery stores drugstores, fast food, etc were all nearby. The house itself was located in a quiet neighborhood.

Wonderful, clean, plenty of room, awesome accommodations.
- Barbara S. from Conesus, Posted: 04/05/2021
We really enjoyed the house and the quiet neighborhood. I dislike bright lights and the location next to the state park provides for a dark sky with lots of stars and an ocean breeze. House is really set up to provide privacy in the bedrooms and the lower level is really set up for hanging out with family. The outside decks are a treat!

We just returned from a four day getaway with family and friends. We chose to stay at Mariposa in Long Bay Estates. This was our second time enjoying this beautiful home. The layout of the home is convenient with room for twelve, and more, if necessary.. with six elegantly appointed bedrooms and bathrooms, there is privacy even in a crowd. A fully stocked kitchen and comfortable seating for many make the home perfect for large groups. Careful attention to the details of decor and cozy comfort complete the package. Mariposa is a vacation spot that deserves an encore!

This was our first family vacation. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. Mariposa is a beautiful home and it was more than accommodating for my family. The five boy cousins were tucked away in their "wing" with their own bathroom. My granddaughter loved her room and private bath. Three bedrooms over looking the ocean was heaven. The kitchen was perfect. My sons were the chefs and had more than enough room. Being on the ocean was amazing. We are ocean, water people and being on the ocean was the best. Just walk down, take a dip and come home to relax in the pool or hot tub. The grandkids all want to do this again next year. Our only complaint was that the hot tub was not working properly and we needed a few service calls before the problem was resolved,

we had a wonderful visit to myrtle beach and stayed again in the Mariposa. we have stayed there maybe 7 times. we rented a different beach house the past 2 years, so we were happy to see that the house had been given a few updates. the kingsized bed in downstairs room was tremendously appreciated (since the old uncomfortable bed was the reason we stopped renting this house for 2 years). the new living room furniture was very nice! a few things to make our stay better? wine glasses, a hammock (oh, how we missed the hammock this year!) and king beds in the other rooms. then it would be the perfect vacation rental!
- Jill L. , Posted: 07/31/2019
This house is perfect for our needs and is always a pleasure to stay at Mariposa. We love the location, in a quiet neighborhood with little beach traffic. It has it's own pool which is great. The house is clean and comfortable. The only downside is the hefty price for a weeks stay. It goes up a little each year and we don't look forward to the day we just can't pay what they are asking. This was our fifth year at Mariposa and we hope we can continue to book it. We'll see.....
- Nancy T. from Cumming, Posted: 07/24/2019
We had a group of 16 stay at Mariposa (including 6 children)...everyone had a great time and plenty of space. The pool area and beach were both fantastic and got tons of use. The one day we had a problem with the hot tub, Garden City Realty was extremely responsive and had someone there to fix it in 20 minutes. The location is so close to everything and the home is gorgeous! Thank you for an amazing vacation.
- Deanna M. from Hudson Falls, Posted: 07/16/2019
All our children, spouses and grandchildren gathered to help celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The house was great for our family. We had plenty of room and liked having a bathroom for each bedroom. The pool was enjoyed by everyone. The owner has thought of everything needed on vacation and the staff at Garden City Realty even signed a card with anniversary wishes for us.
- Laurel B. from Waxhaw, Posted: 06/24/2019
We had 16 family members stay at Mariposa and we had a great time! We loved that all 16 of us could sit around the large table for family meals. The beach was fantastic and sitting on the porch and being able to see your family on the beach was great. It was easy to haul beach gear back and forth. The pool was wonderful, even though a little cold for the older folks. But the hot tub did the trick. We didn't realize there was an elevator and that was a blessing for one of our guests. The only suggestion is that we encountered several nails on the wooden steps, walkways or porches that were raised and could hurt someone's foot. We took care of the ones we found. Overall an amazing vacation. We would definitely stay at Mariposa again!
- Catherine M. from Sunman, Posted: 06/18/2019
This property affords all the conveniences and location to set the stage for a memorable vacation. The streamlined checkin and checkout process was a great addition. We expect to return for the foreseeable future.
- Michael K. from Lexington, Posted: 06/17/2019
Every year our family looks forward to our Myrtle Beach vacation and we could not ask for better accommodations than Mariposa.
- Barbara S. from Conesus, Posted: 04/25/2019
8 of us stayed in Mariposa from Saturday afternoon-Tuesday morning. We hated to leave due to Hurricane Florence. The house was better than we had imagined. The location was perfect- on the beach, deadend street and one house from the turtle sanctuary. It was an easy walk to a peer, clean and wide beach and quick access to the international airport. The pool was clean and shaded all day. That was appreciated, getting out of the sun. The house was large yet homey. The porch was most often used by us. The house was clean, all 8 had their own bed, plenty of bathrooms and a kitchen supplied with basics. Garden City Realty was easy to deal with.
- Anne S. from Statesville, Posted: 09/18/2018
Our family had a fantastic stay. We loved all the work you put into the house over this past winter. But, we would dearly love some hangers! Also, the upstairs north bedroom apparently needs a new mattress according to the folks who used that room. We had some issues with the new lock system but worked through them - next summer we'll be pros. The spa in the pool could use a small sheet on how to use it properly. It would save calls to the office and down time - no spa for 2 days really isn't the best. Other than that we appreciate so much your allowing us to use your property. Our family has been coming here for 12+ years.
- Sylvia B. from Arlington, Posted: 08/20/2018
The location of this house can't be beat! Next to the State Park and no public beach access in the neighborhood made it a very private experience. The screened-in deck was perfect in the morning to watch the sunrise. The kitchen was very well stocked (although a second coffee pot would be good!). All of the bedrooms were comfortable. Having the pool and hot tub partially under the house was a bonus to be able to get a break from the sun when needed. Would love to stay here again someday and would definitly recommend for others!
- Amanda S. from California, Posted: 08/14/2018
Great place! It fits all of our needs for a great week. It is very pricey!
- Nancy T. from Cumming, Posted: 08/06/2018
We have been fortunate to stay at the Mariposa twice. eleven years ago when our family was. Little smaller and now much larger, celebrating our 50th anniv. With our children, grandchildren. Friends that live in Market Commons only minutes away celebrated with us as well. Eleven years later the house was still meticulous and charming. Pam, who I believe may be the owner surprised us with 50th Anniversary 7 layer cake, delish. She is adorable. Professional, courteous as we’re booking with them, staff coming for pool cleaning etc. great house, great owners, great people, beautiful porch with so many rocking chairs that would delight even the grumpiest of people. Thank you for thee wonderful memories. Jim & Chris Slingerland Glenville, Ny & family

- Angela H. from Ronceceverte, Posted: 06/18/2018
This was our 3rd time we stayed at Mariposa in our bi-annual family vacation to the area. The house is perfect for our family! The pool and hot tub were used everyday. The elevator allowed grandma easy access which is a nice perk for her.But the beach is the payoff! We look forward to a return trip to Mariposa. Improve the mattresses! The only thing in need of an upgrade.
- Larry L. from Indianapolis, Posted: 11/09/2017
Our (friends and family) vacation at mariposa was absolutely awesome. The property was in great shape. Having two fridges and dishwashers and stoves worked really well for us. I've never stayed closer to the ocean. My only complaint was that the pool was never cleaned til the day we left, and we reported that is was dirty 5 days before that. Not dirty enough not to use, just that the cleaners never showed on the day they were supposed to.
- Douglas A. from Butler, Posted: 10/09/2017
Our family loves the Mariposa. This summer makes our 11th year there. The location is fabulous with the Myrtle Beach State Park to the north. There is plenty of room for all 16 of us and we don't feel like we're on top of each other.
- Sylvia B. from Arlington, Posted: 08/21/2017
My cousin and our families (kids and grandkids) meet every summer in Myrtle Beach. As our families have grown we needed a bigger place. This was our third year in Mariposa. It really is perfect for us, roomy house, private pool and right on the beach. Also, the beach is never very crowded. We love it and we hope we can continue to afford to stay there since it is VERY EXPENSIVE. Right now the Lord has blessed us so we can continue to pay for it and we pray we will always be able to give this great time together to our kids and grandkids. You can't really put a price on the memories we are making!
- Nancy T. from Cumming, Posted: 08/08/2017
The Mariposa was a wonderful house, well stocked. The entire family loved it.
- Jhana P. from Stafford, Posted: 07/17/2017
We have 13 members in our family. My wife and I have 3 children, all of which are married, and we have 5 grandchildren. Our week together at the Mariposa was only the second time we have all been together. Interestingly, the only other time we were all together was three years ago, also at the Mariposa. Our family is scattered from PA to GA and the Mariposa is a good "central" location for us to meet. We had a GREAT time both times we stayed at the Mariposa. The house is perfect for our family. We love the dining table that seats 14 comfortably so that we can all come together for dinner. The house was clean and in good repair and ready for our use. The location on the beach is nice, especially for early morning coffee on one of the many porches, to watch the sunrise and to visit with family members. The private pool and hot tub, that are located in partial shade, are also a bonus on days when the sun is too intense for a full day of beach time. The location of the Mariposa, which is the next to last house on a dead end street, practically eliminates all vehicular traffic and makes for a private, quiet setting. Now that we have all returned to our respective homes, our 3 children have all emailed us to thank my wife and I for providing a perfect family vacation.

- Anonymous from Arlington, Posted: 08/15/2016
This beach house is amazing! It is warm and comfortable and perfect for families or groups of friends. The location is excellent with very little beach traffic and no road traffic. My family wants to book this house already for 2017.
- Anonymous from Lexington, Posted: 05/31/2016
There were 11 of us in our group. 6 Adults and 5 Children. We had PLENTY of room, never felt over crowded. The entire property was clean, the kitchen had everything needed to make you feel at home. You are close to everything. The basketball court was THE BEST IDEA EVER!! Everyone had fun with it! The pool has enough shade to keep you out of the sun if wanted. We will most definitely be back to this exact house!!!
- Anonymous from Brooklyn, Posted: 05/03/2016
We absolutely loved our stay at Mariposa. Our extended family spring break included kids as young as 4 and grandparents near 80. Everyone had a great time. The elevator worked easily for my elderly parents. The kids loved the pool and beach. The screened in porch was perfect for eating, relaxing and hanging out sun and bug free when needed.
The property was very clean and the kitchen had everything we could have ever needed.
We would certainly come back again. Our only issue (not even really a complaint) is some days we would go downstairs and the pool/spa would be 70 degrees and some days it would be 103/80. It never stopped the kids from going in regardless!
- Andrew & Michael D. from East Lansing, Posted: 04/14/2016
Mariposa is the idea vacation spot for our family. It is located in a quiet community. We can ride our bikes to Market Commons or to Myrtle Beach State Park. It is clean, neat, spacious -has a great pool, hot tub area and is right on the beach. Love to watch the sunrise on the porch in the morning. I do believe this was our ninth year renting this property and we look forward to making many more memories at this lovely place.
- Barbara S. from Conesus, Posted: 04/03/2016
An absolutely wonderful and fun family vacation. Mariposa is perfect for my growing family.
- Larry L. from Indianapolis, Posted: 10/24/2015
this was our 2nd stay at this property (Mariposa) and we hope to return next year. The home is nicely appointed, comfortable and clean. the heated pool and hot tub were well maintained so we could still play outdoors during the rain showers. We especially like the convenient kitchen layout with 2 fridges, dishwashers and microwaves. the screened in porch with hammock and rocking chairs was a favorite hangout every evening.we were grateful the realtor came by on Friday to suggest we might want to leave a day early because of the forecasted storm, and we are glad we took the advice and got out before the flooding rains. the only complaint is nothing anyone could fix: due to the high surf and beach erosion, there were very few shells on the beach. we would highly recommend this vacation property to other families in need of a relaxing getaway.
- Mary P. from Westfield, Posted: 10/05/2015
We loved the at home feeling of the house and kid friendly nature. The pool was wonderful and the location can't be beat for a less crowded experience. We had a fantastic week!
- Anonymous from Scottsdale, Posted: 09/28/2015
This was our 3rd year staying at Mariposa. The house is wonderful, has everything you could need; the pool, hot tub, and pool deck were well maintained. I would highly recommend Mariposa and Garden City Realty to friends and family.
- Christy L. from Leesburg, Posted: 09/14/2015
The only issue was it not being ready on time. Then we when left the next group was at the house waiting and said best way to get in is to just go to the house.
- Jason M. from LAWRENCEVILLE, Posted: 09/09/2015
Mariposa was wonderful - cleaner than last year and new updates were greatly appreciated! Rental Company could provide keys when you first arrive instead of having you return to wait and wait - it was stressful. They should also be there early on Sat am's when folks are leaving early. A slight adjustment to their schedule would make the process much nicer!
- Anonymous from Arlington, Posted: 08/17/2015
This was our 5th year renting the Mariposa and it is a great house! The one disappointment we had was that the hot tub never worked the entire stay. Otherwise, it was a perfect week!
- Jill L. , Posted: 07/06/2015
This is the third time we have rented this house, and have booked it again for next year. House is very nice and has tons of room. Pool, jacuzzi and the beach is 50 feet out the back door. What more could you ask for!
The house is in a very nice spot. It feels almost like you have your own private beach.
- Greg S. from Johnson City, Posted: 06/08/2015
This was our seventh year returning to the same rental property. Overall, the house seemed to be maintained well. Two tubs did not drain well. And the husbands complained about the TV cable/satellite not having enough good choices. The wood walkways had been painted, so no splinters in feet, which was great. It was not as clean in some areas as it usually is. Overall a good experience, our family loves this property and the neighborhood it is in.
- Mary C. from White Sulphur Spgs, Posted: 06/01/2015
We have rented this home for the past seven years with our family. My Mom loved the beach and she always vacationed with us. She lived to be 95 and died one month after she stayed with us at Mariposa. What a blessing this home was for her and our family has treasured memories of loads of fun at the beach. The home is spacious, clean, and whenever we have experienced any kind of a problem Garden City Realty resolved it quickly. We especially like the neighborhood -it is quiet and peaceful. We choose not to eat in restaurants-the grocery stores are handy and the kitchen is equipped with everything imaginable. We enjoy riding our bikes to Market Commons and to Myrtle Beach State Park. We also like to spend time playing and walking the beautiful beach. To our family it is the perfect vacation home.
- Barbara S. from Conesus, Posted: 04/12/2015
This is our second stay at Mariposa. We love the cottage feel and warm decor. The huge porch is great but could use another table outside. We would prefer that the inside dining area were near the back porch.
The major appliances need to be replaced. One of the dishwashers didn't work. The refrigerators work but are very old. The stoves also are old. One of the burners needed to be disconnected when we were there as it was a safety. Hazard.
The 9 grandchildren loved the pool and pool toys and hot tub
We may be outgrowing it so may not be able to return but probably would
- Marlene U. from Carnegie, Posted: 10/06/2014
Although we've been taking our Fall vacation @ Myrtle Beach for several years, this was our first stay @ Mariposa. What a beautiful house! Since we're all getting a little older, we really appreciated the elevator, esp for our luggage & groceries! The hot tub & heated pool were wonderful! The house was very well-maintained, & clean. We loved that the long dining room table was big enough that we could all sit together for dinner. And the double appliances were perfect for our needs. Now, if you could just guarantee a couple more days of sunshine, all would be perfect! I'd definitely recommend this house to anyone with a large family.
- Darlene H. from Dewittville, Posted: 09/29/2014
We've been renting this house for quite a few years. This is the first time we found it used by smokers previous to our visit - holes in the bedspreads (which were taken care of on Monday)and smoke smell throughout the house. The pool area was dirty - I played pool boy and washed down the pool deck and straightened chairs which made a big difference. The pool staff were quite helpful but I'm not sure why the pool area wasn't clean upon our arrival. The location is absolutely fantastic and the house is big enough for 16 of us to all be there together without even realizing we're all in one house. NICE!! Plenty of quiet space if you want it. Lots of things for the grandchildren to do since the pool is partly shaded - you can get out of the hot sun if your not a sun worshiper. We love this place and hope they will work on the items we submitted that need attention in the off-season.
- Anonymous from Arlington, Posted: 09/01/2014
We have stayed at the Mariposa before with our extended family. The location is in a quiet area without any bars or restaurants, etc. in the immediate area, but it is perfect for our group of mostly adults. We just want to enjoy the beach and water.
- Anonymous from Webster City, Posted: 08/11/2014
We have rented this house for 4 years. It is a great house and an awesome location. I wish that the house had better cooking equipment (no cookie sheets) and this year the gas grill was gone which was a huge disappointment for a house that is almost $11,000 per week. Thankfully the rental property brought us a grill. It also needs wine glasses (we always bring our own). We love this house. The pool is beautiful and clean and the house is very comfortable for 13 + people. I wish the downstairs bedroom had a bigger more comfortable bed. Then it would be perfect.
- Jill L. , Posted: 07/25/2014
The Mariposa is a great place for a family vacation. Our 3 children and their spouses, and 5 grandchildren were able to all get together with my wife and me for a first time ever family vacation. It was fantastic. Everything was as perfect as we could have hoped. The house is in a "no outlet" small development so we did not have any drive through traffic. The pool and hot tub are serviced three times a week and were nicely located part way under the house so that you had a place to relax out of the sun if you wanted. The house was very clean and in good repair. All the appliances, and there were many of them, were in good working order. The location of the house on the beach allowed the family to move back and forth from the beach, pool, and hot tub. Our rental agency, Garden City Realty, Inc., was the best. We arrived a couple hours early and they told us the house had been cleaned and was ready for us. They had all our materials in a packet for us. The rental of the Mariposa comes with a linen package which is a good idea - didn't have to fuss with sheets, towels, or wash clothes. I am the type of person that doesn't read many reviews on vacation homes because I feel the reviews are often submitted by people that are paid to say good things. Believe me, all of us have only fond memories of the week we were all together at the Mariposa.
- Anonymous from Mechanicsburg, Posted: 07/01/2014
Love the house and location. Front and rear steps and railings need to be sanded and painted. We picked up a few splinters during the week. Otherwise, great house.
- Jim W. from Matthews, Posted: 06/09/2014
We just returned from Myrtle Beach and would love to go back again. Mariposa is a very beautiful home, very spacious for our family of 14. Everyone had lots of space. The location was perfect. We would highly recommend this home to anyone.
- Linda C. from Sarnia, Posted: 05/04/2014
rental office was great as usual this being my 6th or 7th rental with them.the property was private and nice.only problem we had was with the outside stairways.tooo many splinters were received walking up n down the outside stairs.

We have been to Myrtle Beach several times. The house and company we used this time was the greatest. Everything about it was a great and perfect vacation.

The best place at the beach for you and your extended family. Sleeps 16 without any problems. Love the pool that can be used rain or shine.

The house has an awesome location. This is our 3rd year renting this house. We were happy to see they had bought a gas grill this year and new porch furniture. We love this property but this year the second fridge would not cool and we had to get maintenance out to fix that and the dishwasher. The only other complaint is the queen bed in the downstairs bedroom is extremely uncomfortable. It squeeks every time you move and basically it was very very miserable sleeping in it. In fact, my family has to take turns each year on who has to sleep in that room because the bed is so bad. Other than those 3 things, we love the house!
- Jill L. , Posted: 07/10/2013
We enjoyed our stay ay the Mariposa very much. Our children and grandchildren stayed with us and we had a great time. The home is very pleasantly decorated and we enjoyed the large table to eat and play games. Also it was nice to have the pool and hot tub under the house so if it rained the kids could still swim. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Jill was especially helpful at the rental agency.

Mariposa is an excellent beach rental. This is our 2nd year staying here and plan to stay here again next year. You can't beat the location, the house nor the friendly folks at Garden City Realty!
- Anonymous from Johnson City, Posted: 06/19/2013
My family has been vacationing at Mariposa for 6 years now, coming back the same week each year. My grandchildren start counting days the days until they return as soon as they get home. We reserve for the next year at our check out. The house is perfect for a large family. The kitchen is surperbly stocked with almost anything you need to prepare meals. Except for a hand mixer or even a manual potato masher. So we just called our potatoes chunky smashed potatoes. The porches need updated or treated. We spend time getting splinters out of our feet and hands. The beach condition this year was rather rough, due to extreme weather 1-2 months before. Letting the renters know this would have been nice. My son in law had to dig out a path for us to be able to get up and down the dune. Which was like a 3 ft drop before his digging. One of the dishwashers did not clean dishes. And there was a hole, where a plank was missing in the corner of the back porch. We just put a table on it so no one stepped in the hole. The mattresses could be updated. But all in all we love this house and even though the price goes up each year my children still want to come back. Even after I suggested searching for something cheaper. I just wish I could stay two weeks instead of one.
- Mary C. from White Sulphur Spgs, Posted: 06/03/2013
House was beautiful. There was plenty of room for 14 people. It was very comfortable. The beach was not crowded as it was at the Myrtle Beach State Park. However, getting on the beach presented a problem. The beach was eroding and there was a 3 foot drop from the dunes to the beach. This presented a problem for the seniors in our family. It was impossible to be on the beach during high tide as the water came clear to the dunes. Other than that it is a very nice property with an adequately stocked kitchen.

We had a wonderful stay a Mariposa. We loved the cottage style decor which was so warm and welcoming. The location was perfect and the expansive screened in porch gave us a seemingly panoramic view of the ocean. We had some concerns however that the kids would get splinters on the porch floor and railings. One of the dishwashers malfunctioned but it was great having two. We had some trouble adjusting to the electric stove. The kitchen was well-equiped with the exception of wine glasses and smaller plastic bowls and plates for little ones. We loved the large table that seats 16 comfortably! We would definitely come back. The pool and jaccuzzi were great too!

Love the house and location! Very peaceful and enjoyable to stay at Mariposa but easy to get to other places in Myrtle.

Our family of 16 in one house? You might think this is going to be a disaster! Mariposa is just the place - only when seated around the dining room table do you realize just how many folks are in the same house. It's absolutely wonderful for our family. From the management company who works with us every month as we pay off our vacation prior to coming all the way through checkout it's so easy. We love having the beds made prior to our stay as well. After driving 8+ hours the last thing you want to is make all those beds. This is a service worth paying for. We're free to jump into the pool or ocean and enjoy the first day to the fullest. I'd definitely recommend Mariposa to anyone with a large family. Thanks Garden City Realty for your help over the years and to the owners for allowing us to stay at your beautiful house. FYI - a spring on the screen door might keep it from getting caught in the wind and help keep the lower screen to keep from tearing. This always proves to be a problem even though we try to be vigilent about closing it carefully the younger children have trouble with it when the wind is blowing. See you next summer!

We enjoyed our first trip to Myrtle Beach tremendously. Mariposa was a perfect place to stay. There was plenty of room in the house for our four families to each have some privacy and to spend lots of time together. Having two of all of the appliances including two washers and dryers was great. Making dinner was quick and easy and the kitchen is very well stocked. We enjoyed lots of meals around the large dining table and spent time there playing games and just hanging out together. Sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch was so relaxing. We loved the beach view and short walk to the secluded beach. The water was warm and the beach was so peaceful. Having the pool and hot tub under the house was a great break from the hot sun. Our only complaint would be that the lounge chairs around the pool could use a good cleaning, other than that, Mariposa was a perfect place to stay!

Our 5th year staying in Mariposa and it was the best yet. A very comfortable home with all the necessary amenities for a relaxing week. Ample space for our large family of 10, flat screen TV's in every room, convenient location to the beach and a covered in-ground pool helped to make our vacation a really great one.

Great place, the only thing needing fix was the handicap shower head holder, which was broken.

Our group has stayed in many different house mostly in the Surfside area. This house was by far the best equipped, best laid out house we have ever stayed in. There was plenty of room for all. The pool was great with some shade and some sun and PLENTY of space all around for hanging out. Hot tub was a nice addition. The beach was very private - at least 200 ft. from the nearest beachgoers from the State park on the left and a stray family here and there for at least a 1/2 mile to the right. VERY quiet neighborhood with little traffic and nice neighbors. Great stay - will be back again.

We have been renting Mariposa for years now. It is a beautiful large home right on the ocean that can house my family under one roof. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you might need to make meals there. The kids also enjoy the pool and the hot tub. I rarely leave the property during our stay. It is well kept and more than comfortable in a nice quiet residentual neighborhood. If there are any maintenance problems they are attended to quickly. My only complaint was the condidtion of the loungers around the pool. The had bird droppings and spider webs on them and were filthy. Hosing them off between guest would and should certainly have been expected.

Mariposa was the perfect place to vacation. We love the area, and visit there often. Several of our family and friends were able to come with us this year, and they had a wonderful, fun filled, and relaxing week. The house was perfect, well maintained and had everything we needed. Could not ask for better weather, either. The only negative was that our favorite eating spot had a catastrophic event, and was not , we must get back down there as soon as they are up and running again.

Terrific property and location. Kids loved hottub and pool particularly when whether didn't permit getting in ocean. We enjoyed all the games and books available in the house. It would have been nice if the property was better equipped with supplies such as toilet paper, dish soap, etc.
