I have rented Inlet joy 4 out of the last 5 years, the back porch screen door opens out which could cause someone to fall backwards down the stairs, the TV in the master bedroom has no volume control and could use tv's in 2 other bedrooms, a light at the coverd dock would be nice,

Loved the house and location. The only thing we didn’t like was that one bedroom had no way to access bathroom unless you go outside. And lawn need to be mowed

We absolutely loved this home! Location is great. Fished every day from the dock and sat on the screened back porch every night. House was clean ,beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed for the perfect family vacation. Looking forward for our next trip staying in this home.

We stayed in this house a few years back and the updates are very nice. We enjoyed being on the inlet and across the street from the beach. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and watching the wildlife in the backyard.

We’ve rented this house now for several years in a row. The location is perfect being on the inlet and also directly across the street from the ocean. The house has everything we need. Fishing is great with the covered dock and the porch sitting (front and back) is wonderful as well. Can’t wait to be back down next year.

We have vacationed at this home for years and there have been many wonderful improvements made. It is a great location. I wish the owners would add a TV to the front bedroom with the queen bed, change the master bedroom queen bed to a king bed and change the extra porch bedroom to a queen bed and update the TV. These are just suggestions but would make the stay more enjoyable. Also the owners need to address the electrical outlets. Many of the plugs are lose and you can't plug any device into them.

Everything was great but the palm tree at the driveway. Makes it tough to get a larger boat backed into the driveway to use boat ramp also dock needs better lighting. No others issues, really enjoyed the property.

We have stayed in a variety of vacation rentals in the Garden City area for several years. Our stay in Inlet Joy was the best yet!Great location... Very close to all the wonderful restaurants in Murrells Inlet! The home was a perfect balance...across the street from the ocean and located on the inlet, and it was the perfect size for our family of ten. The property was clean and well maintained. Would have loved some lighting on the dock...wasn't working during our stay, but we were still able to enjoy time on the dock. We also loved having access to the channel with the boat ramp. Will definitely stay again and will highly recommend property to others!

Our family vacations in Garden City almost every 4th of July. We have three children and have vacationed with them in Garden City since birth. We have added two grandchildren. They love it as much as the rest of us have. Our trip was GREAT! The only complaint we had was the the wifi/internet was extremely slow. We look forward to next year.

As described described in the explanation provided by Garden City Realtors. Older beach house but well maintained. Great screen rear porch. Enjoyed the newly rebuilt dock and gazebo on the creek. Boat landing/launch was a definite plus (be careful during low tide as water maybe too low to use safely). As stated, older beach house so it is a little dated and could use newer appliances, televisions, and furniture but don't let that stop you as I still love this place.

The Inlet Joy is the perfect location to enjoy both the creek and ocean. This home is very comfortable and makes for a memorable vacation. The only suggestions that I would make is to have a new mattress on the bed in the master bedroom. I saw a few roaches but some of them were dead which means that the home had been sprayed for pest control. The ceiling fans needed to be cleaned and there was no stopper for the kitchen sink. But regardless of these small suggestions, we had a wonderful week at the Inlet Joy and the staff at Garden City Realty goes over and above to make your stay pleasant. I have rented this home for two years, will probably do so again and would recommend it to anyone.

We had a WONDERFUL stay at Inlet Joy and hope to do this every summer. The only complaint we had was with the Wi-Fi. It was incredibly slow and was a hindrance to the entire family. The TV was also a little complicated due to the slow internet.

We had rented the same property for several years and as always had an excellent time. The location is great, close enough to everywhere we wanted to go. We dined locally and visited the Kroger food store often. I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a clean and quiet home.

We have stayed here for the past 5 or 6 years and love it. Great location. The house could have been cleaned better it had dirty floors and the fridge had a bad smell of fish and was dirty also. There is a broken rocking chair on the front porch that needs to be fixed or removed. It has been broken for the past two years.

We really enjoy this place. The fishing, rocking on the porches and walking distance to the uncrowded ocean. Fireworks almost each night...sat on the front porch and enjoy them. We had a really great time.

We had a good time, the weather was great. Fishing in the inlet has gotten harder due to the rental of water bikes, scuba diving boats, etc. We did enjoy being across the street from the beach, especially for the kids. The house could have been cleaner, the furniture was very dusty. I think we left it a lot cleaner than we found it.

It was great! Only complaint was the people that came and cut the grass during our stay. I think this could be completed during the cleanup time on Saturdays. We weren't asked to move cars and grass was thrown all over the vehicles.

My family stayed for a week and we just loved Inlet Joy. The house was clean and well decorated. We liked the location because you have access to both the beach and the channel. The only downside is the busy street. During Memorial Day weekend, a lot of beach goers were parking along the road and partially blocking driveways which made it difficult to maneuver in and out of the drive. The Realty company should consider posting Georgetown County ordinances so that vacationers can know the dos and don'ts of the locals. We will definitely rent again.

The location and overall condition of the house was terrific. Being on the inlet and right across the street from the beach was very convenient for everyone's needs. The only issue was what is considered the 4th bedroom, which we referred to as the cave. Being located off the back porch, very small, the door wouldn't stay shut and having to lock it with a deadbolt wasn't what we expected but isn't a deal killer. The only other issue I had was when I checked out, I was not greeted or thanked for using Garden City Realty. The fact is I told them which property is was and I got an "OK". If they had been busy at the time I would understand, but I was the only guest in there.

Great location. Loved the Inlet Joy beach house. Had the charm of the older style open living/dining area beach houses with screened rear deck overlooking the beautiful marsh and open air front deck looking at the ocean. Great parking for 6 vehicles beneath the house. House could have used a few "newer" appointments as they were "dated" (showing some wear and tear, i.e. couch, table and benches, etc). One or two of the screens had come undone which will allow insects (mosquitos and sand nats) in during warm weather. Boat ramp and floating dock/gazebo dock were really nice with a sink to clean fish. I would definately stay at Inlet Joy again. Thank you to the homeowners as we enjoyed entertaining our friends from Kansas and Charleston, SC in your vacation home.

I've never stayed at the beach in September before, but I must stay it was great. Having your own boat ramp was excellent. The dock was in good shape and we spent many hours fishing there. Havomg a half bath in the laundary room was excellent. It meant that you did not have to run upstairs from the dock. The house itself felt very spacious. The shell displays were fun. The two upstairs bath were large for this type of beach house layout. Some may say the house was dated, but to us it was fine. Located across the street from the beach and beach access only made it better.

The location suits all the needs of my family, with a boat ramp, and dock on inlet for me. Close walk to beach, right across the street, for others. The Cathey's could not have left one body of water where we live and gone anywhere more perfect! Inlet Joy was clean, spacious, comfortable and the private boatramp with the dock was the best!
