Crystal Blue Persuasion

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crystal Blue Persuasion. Contactless check in was great, the home was spotless and cozy, and everything worked as advertised. The house felt like home away from home for the week we were there so we will definitely plan another trip in the future! The pool and hottish were great and the ocean is just across the street. :)

We had a wonderful week at this house. The location was perfect. The pool was great. The only issue we had was with the dishwasher. I would highly recommend the owners purchase a new one. It was filled with mold. And it looked like it had been there for quite some time. The realty company did send someone to clean it, which still left mold in it. Then they sent someone to run bleach and vinegar through it, but being as bad as it was we didn’t feel safe washing our dishes in it. An upgrade there is definitely warranted.The only other suggestion would be to buy a more modern fridge. We went through tons of bottled water. We are used to a fridge that’s a little bigger and that has a water system in it. Other than that we had a wonderful time! The beds were comfortable and the house was clean.

Had an amazing week with at Crystal Blue! Place was perfect. Surfside is awesome. Used every feature of this home from the pool to the hot tub. Family had plenty of room to spread out with two decks and spacious layout. Cooked every night inside and out on the grill. Walk to the beach was perfect. Even used some of the recommendations for cart rentals to beach toys. Lot of great memories made.

As always, 3rd time renting, a great place to stay. 4bedrooms, 3 baths. Heated pool, hot tub and location by the ocean. What more could you want. Already re-booked for next year.

This was our 4th time staying at Crystal Blue Persuasion. It is a very nice home. The pool and hot tub are great! Easy access to the beach! The upgrades done to the home were very nice. The only thing missing on this trip was a working golf cart. We will definitely be back!

Because Crystal Blue Persuasion is a second-row beach house directly across the street from public beach access and within walking distance of the Surfside Beach Pier, restaurants, and shops, a golf cart rental is not included with reservations. We've stayed at CBP for 16 years. The new owner has made some impressive upgrades. Nice clean property with easy access to the beach. The private pool and hot tub are a plus!

Crystal Blue Persuasion was perfect for our 7 person family. I vacationed with my wife, three kids, and my parents, and this home was perfect for us. It's super close to the beach, which was pretty sparsely populated, so we felt like we had a private strip of ocean for us and our neighbors. When the day got too hot, we would jump inside and make a meal. The house was comfortable and well furnished. We brought some games to play, and had a game table and a separate dining table. We enjoyed the pool almost daily, along with the hot tub. And there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. Strongly recommend it - we will return.

This is the first time in 10 years that we have booked through a realty company for the vacation. Having stayed in the direct vicinity, the location is perfect. However, there are some things within the house that need reviewed:

1. The white table on the front porch needs to be thrown away. Due to the condition of the table/chairs, it couldn't be used. It may be able to be power washed.
2. There needs to be towel racks in all of the bathrooms or even towel hooks on the bathroom door.
3. Many of the appliances didn't work, such as the mixer. The toaster had to be consistently reattached on the bottom, so we got to the point we didn't use it. A personal preference would be to replace the coffee pot with a Keurig.
3. There were not enough steak knives. We had to share knives when we had steak....there were like 4 knives.
4. It was odd that there were not regular spoons. There were iced tea spoons or large tablespoons.
5. The upkeep around the pool and hot tub needs to be addressed. There were leaves, weeds, and other debris from trees all around the pool and hot tub. There were leaves there that seemed from winter.
5. Personal preference again, but an umbrella around the pool would have been nice.
6. It also did not seem like the pool filters were working. We had to clean the bugs and other debris from the pool daily.

Please know that we had a great week, and the house was a relatively great rental. Listing the items above will allow other renters to have a great time at this beach rental.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. The property owners are pleased to inform you that, except for the recently renovated bathroom, every bathroom now has towel racks. Additionally, the owners plan to upgrade the table on the front porch this Fall, including new chairs, and add decorative outdoor lighting. Other updates the owners intend to make this Fall include replacing the current toaster with a four-slice stainless steel toaster, replenishing the spoons and steak knives (until then, our housekeeping department has added some), and adding pavers, rocks, and tiles around the pool area, and possibly an umbrella. Finally, the pool is cleaned regularly and serviced by a professional, and the owner will address the weeds. We hope you consider rebooking Crystal Blue Persuasion the next time you visit the beach. We look forward to seeing you again.

We've stayed in this home for 15 years. Great location. Great furnishings. The new owner is in the process of upgrading the property. There are two items we'd recommend be fixed. First, is that the TV in the family room isn't hooked to cable. The other TVs in the house are hooked up so it seems like an easy inexpensive fix. Second, the hot tub has the temperature locked at a max of 99 degrees. That temp limit should be raised to 104 degrees.

Unfortunately, we have no record of anyone contacting our office during your stay to report the issues. We would have been more than happy to come down and troubleshoot the TV to see if we could get it working. Perhaps a simple channel scan is all that's needed. Likewise, one of our maintenance techs would have troubleshooted the hot tub settings to remedy the water temperature. Nonetheless, we do thank you for bringing them to our attention and maintenance orders have now been submitted for both issues. We look forward to seeing you again and improving your experience with us.
