Kudos to the staff at Garden City. They are wonderful to work with. They even called 2 days in and asked if everything was going good. The owners of the condo upgrade every year and it is always top of the line.

Very nice room, well kept pool. Final two days the elevator had some issues where the ground floor button wouldn’t call the elevator but minor glitch. Overall love this building. I have stayed in multiple units and all have been nice.

My Family and I have been vacationing in the Myrtle Beach area for 30 years and have stayed at Compass Rose for the past 8 and will continue to stay there. Private pool and beach access is the best! The only issue we had was with the keypad entry on the front door.

Another great time in a great place. It was a pleasant surprise to have new porch furniture, new washer, new cook set, new silverware and new mattresses.
So appreciative of such details and the overall care of this unit. I can't imagine what you will do next year, but I can hardly wait.

We had a wonderful stay in this unit. It is beautifully decorated, clean, neat, and organized. Everything we needed was available. We enjoyed the new furniture, especially the blue chairs on the porch. We would definitely stay in this unit again. It was a great vacation!

Wonderful!
Our family enjoyed 2 wonderful weeks in this condo. It is fresh and beachy. The owners have made sure it is well stocked in the kitchen, laundry room and has plenty of entertainment options. Pride of ownership shines in #42. We have already booked our 2 weeks for next year!

We love Garden City! Been a favorite vacation spot for years. Loved this unit! We like that it is 2 miles away from all the action of the pier. Makes for quieter times and less crowded beaches. This unit is great. Well stocked. Plenty of seating. It was comfortable and clean! The only problem was the queen size bed in the guest room could use a new mattress, the one there is very soft and you roll to the center. The primary bedroom and the king/bunk room was very comfortable.

This was my second stay and I reserved again next year. The unit is in a great location to enjoy the many attractions between Myrtle Beach and Georgetown. And it's also a great place to stay, relax and enjoy the beach, or just sit on the porch or balcony and enjoy the views.
Appreciate the updates that the owner makes to keep it comfortable and accommodating (though it would be nice to have the carpet and some of the extra furniture removed). And grateful for Garden City Realty's response to all inquiries and requests. It makes a vacation a vacation.

This is our family’s 8th time renting a condo in the Compass Rose and our 2nd time renting this unit. It’s a prime location and has lots of great amenities, such as the pool, elevator, remodeled bathrooms and super comfy beds.

Despite the elevator being broken our family had a great time. Ample space and beautiful views of the ocean and inlet. The unit had a nice beach theme. Kitchen has a big skylight but nighttime cooking can be dark with no overhead light. We were visited by a mouse but we informed maintenance.

WE enjoyed another great stay at Compass Rose 42. We love the location and views. The condo has two updated bathrooms and the water stayed hot for multiple back to back showers (an improvement over last year). The kitchen is stocked nicely. Beds are comfortable. Plenty of seating in the den and kitchen. We loved the new keyless entry as it was easier than keeping up with the keys. Only issues we had were there were no oven mitts/pot holders. Note the kitchen is dark at night as there are no overhead lights. If you like to cook after the sun goes down the only lights you have are from the bar area. We have already booked for next year.

Great accomodations and great location to spend a month working from home 'away from home'. So great to realize that the unobstructed view of the beach and ocean, the sound of the surf, the fresh air, the soaring pelicans, the sunrises and sunsets were exactly as expected.

This condo was immaculate. The cleaning crew did an amazing job. The North view of the coast from the screened balcony is gorgeous. It has all the cookware you could possibly need. The pictures do not do it justice. I will definitely return.

The unit was very nice and we enjoyed staying there for 10 days.
Only suggestion we have to make it better would be to replace the sofa and loveseat. They are not comfortable due to worn springs or something. They did have 2 recliners that we used instead so it all worked out for 2 people.
We will stay there again.

The unit was clean & roomy & the kitchen was well-stocked. We enjoyed our stay. The only issue is the lack of a dresser in the bedroom with the king bed w/bunk bed top. That's a negative for a condo. Even motel rooms have dressers. The only other issue was the delayed check-in time. Yes, we had a strange year but property managers should have hired more help. We lived up to rental terms, they should also. We lost 2 days due to this as you always lose check-out day.

We’ve stayed in Myrtle beach several times but this had to be one of our favorite stays. Our condo had everything we needed in the kitchen & plenty of space for the 6 adults that stayed a week. The location is what makes this spot; right on the beach with little traffic from other tourists. We will be staying here again in the future.

Quick and easy to book, and loved the photos on the website were up to date. We don’t like not knowing what we are paying for. The view off the master balcony, was perfect. So nice watching the boats come and go from the inlet. The sun in the afternoon was warm and toasty. The condo size was perfect and the location was quiet. We would definitely look at staying in the condo again.

I really liked this condo, but my daughter and I got stuck in the elevator and another couple staying in the building also got stuck. The firemen were joking that they don't need the address because they have to go there so often. The elevator was then out of order for a couple of days. The hoa really needs to address this issue. I would definitely have stayed in the condo again but being on the 4th floor and being grandparents with 3 small grandchildren I just wouldn't take the chance.

Perfect location, with plenty of room for the four of us. Wish that the beds were more comfortable, the mattresses were very hard, I actually slept on the couch during our stay.

This condo was just what we needed! Plenty of space to spread out, open concept den/kitchen and great view of the ocean! We were excited about the great movie choices but were never able to get vhs/dvd player to work :(
Otherwise we enjoyed our beach and pool time and would return to compass rose again.

Great time. Very roomy condo. Fantastic location. Decent Furniture. Well stocked kitchen. Not 4 TV's - only 3. And we had to get the cable folks out to fix the master bedroom TV Tuesday. Master bedroom bathroom toilet requires 3 to 5 flushes. Do NOT reach into the dryer door until you turn it off with the switch. An open door does NOT disable the tumbling. This is very dangerous. For the benefit of the owner this needs attention. Also the hot water faucet and the diverter valve in the master shower leak. Concrete pool deck appears to have been damaged by last year's storm. No big deal there. Had to keep reinstalling vertical blind slats. Hate those things. Had to run the dishwasher 2 cycles for complete cleaning. These situations I noted shouldn't be required by a review.

It was a great vacation in a great area. The only negative was the customer service of Garden City Realty. I was originally supposed to be in Waterford 403, but was moved due to a malfunctioning refrigerator. The CR 42 property was in no way comparable to the Waterford 403 property. The linens were not there as they were supposed to be, and the WiFi was not working. However, the location was excellent which made up for the rest of it.

We stay at this property every year, but we usually stay in a different unit. The lighting was very dim in this condo but the skylights helped during the day. Lots of fun things added: Cards, games, books, music, and videos for rainy day fun! A great week was had here. Only con: minimal pots and pans..

This was our second time staying at Compass Rose 42. The location is wonderful, and the huge screened porch is worth 5 stars!! This condo is also very spacious! We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

So now for the negative, the condo was not very clean. The shower curtain in the master bathroom was moldy, and the condo as a whole was very dusty. There was also an area on the ceiling in the living room that looked like water damage and the sheet rock was hanging in one spot.
If not for these housekeeping issues I would have given 5 stars!

Our family couldn't be happier with this condo. It's in a terrific location across from a wonderful restaurant on the inlet side and provides a clean beach with easy access on the ocean side. The pool & the building was clean and well-maintained. Will definitely stay here again when we vacation next time!

Beautiful views, short distance to ocean, nice size of building (only 8 units). The condo unit was nice, and we were very happy. My only suggestions would be to get new glassware (glasses cloudy, no matter how hard I scrubbed), new silverware (spoons damaged from garbage disposal), and there is a very strange smell in the master bathroom.
