Compass Rose 22

Very nice property in great location. Love having the pool as an option when the ocean is too rough. Condo is nice and generally well equipped. I would love a recliner or something to put feet up on in living room and master BR would benefit from a ceiling fan but those are just "love to haves". I can't stand the TV setup. With no cable I guess it works well for those who like to stream and it has options for that but I want to watch local news for example, and national channels. For a beach vacation this isn't a dealbreaker, I'd mostly be on the beach but it is the one thing I really dislike at this property. Overall though, very happy

The unit was very comfortable and spacious for our family of 5. Everything was provided for our stay except for the ocean side door key but that was rectified on Monday with the addition of a keyless lock.

Started with not being able to get in due to a broken key box and ended with the elevator being broken. We had a blind sister with us and steps were a danger

This is our 14th year staying at Compass Rose. It meets all of our criteria for a wonderful vacation spot. It is Ocean Front, has a screened in porch overlooking a beautiful pool, and has very nice furnishings. The owners keep it in good shape year after year.

Very enjoyable week. Unit was right size for 6 adults, 1 teenager, and 1 toddler. Mattress on pull out sofa bed does need replacing. Upon arrival unit was clean except for porch and balcony,

This is a beautiful place right on the ocean. Just steps from your back deck and you are on the beach. The room was clean and comfortable.

We've stayed at different units in this building multiple years. This one is nice but could use a few changes. Ceiling fan in the master BR would be nice. Desperately needs an overhead light in the living room, it's very hard to read and there's nothing to put your feet up on. Those are relatively minor nitpicks, it's still a nice place in a great location. I would use the pool more happily if there were any hint of shade but that's the complex not the unit.

Enjoyed this unit very much & great location. The only negative was the washer broke down Tuesday & was not fixed before we left. We had 7 people & really needed the washer. It should have been replaced in one day. Taking a week to repair a $400 washer is not smart and no way to get good reviews.

I love the location of this condo. It was clean and well stocked. The unit is over- furnished and needs updating. The king bed in the master is great, but the springs can be felt in both the twin beds and queen. We didn’t use the pull out couch so I can’t comment on that. The kitchen is fine with everything we needed. Pool is great. Since the walkway doesn’t go all the way over the dunes it is hard for someone with mobility issues to get to the beach unless they use the walkway shared with Inlet Point.

Have stayed here several times and have always enjoyed our stay. Same for this year, however, since our last stay 3 years ago 2 parking spots have been added down the middle of the lot. This has made it extremely difficult to back out and negotiate a SUV or pickups. When it takes 10 minutes to maneuver inch by inch a pickup out of one’s parking spot something is wrong. Either remove the 2 center spots or make it clear this is a small car facility only.

The folks at Garden City Realty are professionals and provide good customer service.
We’ve stayed in the same condominium every year for the past 15 years. It is like our home away from home. We note changes that the owners have made and enjoy the familiarness of things that are the same.
The screened in porch adds more living space. The pool is great and the landscaping is lovely.
Hopefully we will have many more years at Compass Rose.

Very nice condo; neat and clean. Well furnished & kitchen nicely stocked. Good bedding. Guest bedrooms had dresser space unlike some other Compass rose condos we've stayed in. Great views of course and not too high to take the stairs.

Over all the property was nice and clean. The description stated 2king beds and 2 sets of bunk beds in third bedroom. Actually had 1 king, 1 queen, 2 twins in 3rd bedroom. The location was great. We could walk to Gulf Stream for dinner and the access to the beach was nice. The living room was large and flowed Nicky into kitchen and dining area. We enjoyed the screened back porch as well.

Loved the rocking chairs on the screened porch. Kitchen is stocked well. Very clean, comfortable beds, and nicely decorated. I would say the only "problem" we encountered was how to work the TV remotes? But we were so busy enjoying the beach and the area that it wasn't important to us. But you may wish to consider leaving some directions.

Love Compass Rose and plan to return for sure.

Place was what we wanted.
Non smoking building but either above or below someone smoked continually.
Renter above had a dog who barked a lot. This renter put the dog in the pool for a swim thinking it was cute. What about health regulations?

I've stayed at the Compass Rose since Hugo hit and our old school beach house was swallowed by the Atlantic. I was a young boy then. Today I'm 40 and now I bring my family and three kids to the same place that I grew up vacationing in. My entire family would rent 4 or 5 of the 8 units.I've stayed in almost all of them but we keep returning to #22. We absolutely love it. Perfect views from 2nd floor, not to many steps, wonderfully decorated for the beach and just an all around feel that you belong there. It makes me smile knowing that this place is there waiting for us all winter long and the moment we do return it feels as though we never left.

The condos are in a great location. Not too busy and we had lots of room on the beach. The pool is awesome and it was cleaned multiple times while we were there. Nice! Our condo was clean and we had a great view of the ocean. The beds were comfortable and the furniture was clean. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and enjoyed cooking out on the patio grill.

We have stayed at Compass Rose for 12 years, all but one in #22. We love the screened in porch with rockers, the beautiful pool,and the closeness to the ocean. Even though some things are dated, the owners continue to update other things. You guessed It! We are down for next year!

This Condo was amazing! Beautiful updated interior, clean, extremely well stocked with everything you could possibly need for your vacation. Freshly landscaped exterior with a well maintained pool. The Ocean front views are amazing! Very close to a variety of restaurants and shopping. We honestly had NO complaints! We actually reserved again for next year and we cant wait!

We were pleased to see the new carpeting and furniture in our condo. Have to say to did seem cleaner this year than in years past BUT more of a cockroach problem than any other year. We enjoy using the outside grill but it is in need of a good cleaning/repair. We will be returning next year...the view is breath taking, we really enjoy the pool and our own private piece of the beach.

Enjoyed our stay at Compass Rose. The unit was comfortable. The only issue we had was with the pool. The pool was never cleaned throughout the week and it continued to get dirtier and dirtier as the week progressed.

Needed a week to just kickback and recharge. Played golf, chartered a fishing boat, target practice at a gun range, and of course long walks on the beach. Good meals, some at restaurants, some off the grill that property provided.

We have stayed at Compass Rose for 7 summers. It is our favorite place for many reasons. It has a great screened-in porch view of the beach and beautifully landscaped swimming pool. It is quiet, but at the same time, convenient to attractions, restaurants, and shopping, if that's what you want. My family loves Compass Rose!

The folks from Kentucky, which is what we are known as, have rented CR # 22 for years! Love this unit, love the other vacation people we see each year, love GC and love the setup! Only one thing of improvement - new TVs would be nice. Other than that, this unit is warm, comfortable and welcoming! Already making plans for next year!

The first unit we were supposed to stay in had a horrible mold and mildew smell. My son has allergies and asthma so I knew this would not be a good week for us if we stayed in the unit originally reserved. My husband who has a terrible sense of smell even said he would not be able to stay in this unit. When I notified Garden City Realty of the problem they were immediately concerned and willing to do whatever it would take to put us in a unit that would not compromise my son's health. I was extremely satisfied with their willingness to help make our week's vacation a very relaxful and happy week for all concerned. What they did not realize is that my son was in a very bad accident on Mother's Day and we almost lost him. Consequently, the vacation we were to have taken in June with my brother's family was unable to take place. After a long, but thankfully good recovery we decided to take his fall break from high school and make our trip to the beach. This was a week we all were VERY MUCH NEEDING!!! Thank-You Garden City Realty Staff for helping us to have a very relaxing trip to the beach!!!
These units are 30+ years old and in need of updating. We stayed at Compass Rose when our now 32 and 30 year old children were 2 & 3 years of age. We have wonderful memories of Compass Rose. I would like to suggest that you extend the walk way from the pool our further so you are not having to walk on the soft sand, which in the summer is extremely hot.

Loved everything about it except I agree with other reviews that the TV definitely needs repolacing with a larger screen. Spent many wonderful hours on the screened porch enjoying the veiw and just hanging out. Kitchen was well stocked with everything. September is a good time to come if you want to avoid the summer tourist crowds.

The living area could use a larger , updated flat screen TV. The current one is too small and outdated. Compared to others nearby, this rate is at the top as far as the rental rate. I tend to believe this would be a better value in the $2200.00 range.

The pool is small.

We stay in this condo every year and love it! We did notice that the exterminator did not show up during the 2 weeks we were there - and do not know if this is why we saw a lot more large water bugs (this is what we call them in Ky.) Thanks!
