Afterdeck 206

Excellent as always at the After Deck 206, again like last year a plus would be to replace the mattress especially in the main bedroom.

Positives: great location near everything, great views from balcony, really nice clean pool and deck overlooking the ocean, building was quiet families, check-in and checkout process was easy. Negatives: outdated finishes,cabinets, decor. Shabby beat-up stained - cracked finishes... like sinks baseboards walls ceilings blinds doors. Master bath very small. Laundry old and small, almost impossible to use. Only fits 1-3 pieces of clothes at a time. Stained our clothes with rust!! Building is next to public access and random people were coming onto the property to use our pool and outdoor shower.

We enjoyed our stay at the Afterdeck #206! We have stayed here for several years. The updates are beautiful and enhance the enjoyment of our trip. The oceanfront view is breathtaking. I look forward to many vacations from this condo!

We rented After Deck 206 for two weeks. The condo had everything that we needed. The towels and sheets need to be up graded from poor to at the very least very good. The sheets on the king bed were thread bare in several spots and the towels are so very thin.

We previously stayed at the Sea Oaks thru GC Realty for about 10 straight years until about 5 years ago when that unit was sold. The we started about 4yrs ago staying at After Deck also thru GC Realty. After Deck 206 great as always. However this year we saw inside a couple more of the large palmetto bugs than normal. Don’t like seeing those in the middle of the night when you turn the light on. Maybe increase the pest control to ensure they stay out of sight. Otherwise great as always!

We had a great short visit, first time in Garden City Beach. Beautiful views, and the condo is very convenient to shopping when needed. (Having the elevator is wonderful.)

The unit is very well equipped for cooking. Was pleasantly surprised about that. The sink sprayer in the kitchen has a leak and needs repair. Also, there is only one potholder. It would be helpful to have at least one more, but 2 or 3 more would be great so you have somewhere to put your hot things coming out of the oven. Location is great. TV worked wonderfully - we were able to hook up our Apple TV to it easily. WiFi was fine. Might not be sufficient for virtual school or all-day Zoom meetings for multiple remote workers, but was fine for routine use. Living room and dining area were bright and cheerful and the sliding door to the balcony lets in a nice breeze and the sounds of the waves. Treat yourself to a safe beach trip during the pandemic! It was a perfect trip for us!

This is a nice condo right on the beach with a large private deck. It was clean, with some new appliances. The fridge would need a replacement, it was making a lot of noise. Mattresses were OK, I’ve seen better but I’ve also seen worst. This property - the Afterdeck - really takes care of their building. They were the first to get things going when Hurricane Florence was looming. They were the first last year after a Tropical Storm passed to have their deck repaired. There’s also a nice pool that is in the sun most of the day so the water is warm. As usual, great service from Garden City Realty. Just wished they’d have special pricing for stays of 3 weeks and more in September. Would definitely return!

We had a wonderful vacation. Just what we needed at the end of a hot summer. The weather was just right and we enjoyed the beach every day. I love the location and lay out of the condo. A large balcony with lots of view. The furniture and carpet was outdated but clean. I plan to stay here again next year.

Very nice place. Very nice experience. The parking spaces are very narrow which makes it hard to get into your vehicle. I'm very disappointed in that my daughter left her hat there. I called and the realty company said that you would have housekeeping get in touch with me if they found it. I heard NOTHING. I know for a fact that she left it in the condo bathroom. I'm not real happy about that.

Due to the fact the state of emergency came out due to the floods in SC we were unable to come. The roads were all closed and we were not allowed to enter and also at the same time Garden City Realty closed their offices. It was and has been devastating to South Carolina. They told me that because I had not chosen travel insurance I lost 100% of my money. I had only booked my trip 1 week in advance so I had no idea that a state of emergency would come out. Due to those special circumstances I would have thought they may have given me a portion of my money back or at least given me some dates that I could have rescheduled to come and stay. They offered nothing at all..................

Being our first time in Myrtle Beach I think this was an ideal location especially to do day trips from or to just hang out on the beach. Weather was not in our favor but no one has control over that. Still had a great week and saw lots of stuff. Anything one needs is within 5 to 20 minutes. Although this trip was just the wife and I, we saw that it is a very family friendly area.

Good overall rental experience. Property was a little older and dated than some but clean and a great location. Exterior looked as if it was getting a makeover to some degree. Everything worked and there were more kitchen utensils than you usually find in a rental. That was nice. Corner balcony is a nice touch to this property and the location to Garden City pier and Murrells Inlet being 5 minutes away is really nice. We would rent again without hesitation.

Condo was exactly what we expected. We have stayed at this Condo in various units over the last 25 years & have always enjoyed our stay. Location is ideal & the pool right adjacent to the ocean is great. Only negative was the cleaning before we arrived. Please try to improve.

This condo was exceptional in location. I enjoyed coffee each morning on the deck while looking out over the ocean. My husband and I had a great weekend. This condo could be improved with a makeover; new kitchen appliances, replace carpet and linoleum with tile.
