Looking to spend St. Patrick’s Day in sunny Myrtle Beach? With our beautiful coastal weather and abundance of fun activities to do this year, it may just be your lucky day, or at least your greenest!
This Saturday, March 14th, marks the 32ndAnnual St. Patrick’s Day Parade hosted on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. This event attracts over 40,000 people to celebrate Irish heritage, so bring your friends and family. The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. with live music, children’s areas, rides and amusement, and plenty of vendors displaying their treats and crafts. And that’s not all that’s in store. The Market Common is also hosting its 10th Annual Irish Fest on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Grand Park. With music, beer, Irish food, and plenty for the kids, you don’t want to miss out on this celebration.
On Tuesday, March 17th, Murrells Inlet is hosting The Luck of the Marshwalk from 5 to 10 p.m. All Murrells Inlet Marshwalk restaurants will be offering festive drinks, food specials, and a costume prize. If you’re interested in the competition, come dressed in green and ready to explore! Contestants must pick up their stamp card at 5 p.m. before heading to each of the seven participating restaurants. Final costume and stamp judging will end at 9 p.m. at the Wicked Tuna. Tin Roof will also be hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Bash. The beer will be green and the music live! Performances by Thomas Road begins at 8 p.m. at their location: 1410 Ocean Blvd.
Myrtle Beach is home to some wonderful Irish restaurants, as well. Try Finn McCool’s on 501 Lake Arrowhead Road. Their annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration kicks off with Irish music performed by Victor Cunneen and The Myrtle Beach Regional Pipe Band. Flynn’s Irish Tavern located on 421 Main St. in North Myrtle Beach has a very authentic Irish-pub atmosphere. Their menu features plenty of favorites to really get you into the spirit. Molly Darcy’s Irish Pub & Restaurant is serving up a mix of Irish and American cuisine as you dine beachside. This cool location is definitely one to try. Lastly, check out O’Keefe’s Irish Pub at 834 Inlet Square Dr. in Murrells Inlet. Along with Beer Belly Deli, they are throwing a St. Patrick’s Day Block Party starting on Tuesday at 9 a.m. There will be beer trucks, authentic food, and live music beginning at 1 p.m.
With all of these fun events, you may have just found the pot of gold in Myrtle Beach!
