May has arrived, and with Memorial Day weekend and the official kick-off of our summer season just around the corner, the calendar is filling up fast with festivals and events.
In the city of Myrtle Beach, the entire month of May is dedicated to our military and veterans with Military Appreciation Days. There are several other Memorial Day themed events at the end of the month in Surfside Beach and Murrells Inlet.
With the beautiful, mild weather that May brings, it is the perfect time for outdoor events and festivals. The festival season kicks off this weekend with the 21stAnnual Blessing of the Inlet at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet.
Just following the Memorial Day weekend, we keep festival season rolling right into June with the 62nd Annual Myrtle Beach Sun Fun Festival and the highly-anticipated Carolina Country Music Festival.
