Garden City Realty is proud to offer safe and affordable vacation options with enhanced cleaning measures in response to Covid-19. If you’ve been stuck inside like the rest of us, and just need a change of scenery, why not book a worry-free vacation rental with Garden City Realty? Our rentals feature kitchens that are well stocked with essential cooking equipment, so you may coastal distance by cooking at your home or condo. And, as an added bonus, you’ll save money.
Groceries Ahead and Other Stress-Free Options
Concerned about the hassle of grocery shopping while on vacation? Don’t be. With Groceries Ahead, you can have groceries delivered to your vacation rental before you get there. Their menu even includes fresh fruits and veggies, organic, and gluten-free options. The best part: the delivery fee is only an affordable $50! Just remember to order 48 hours in advance, so they have enough time to prepare your order.
Another contactless grocery option is Instacart. With a website and an app, Instacart makes it easy to order groceries to your door. With stores like Costco, Kroger, and Aldi, Instacart is a budget-friendly option, especially for large groups or families. To save you even more money, Instacart will scan vendors for coupons to apply to your order. Plus, you may even be able to get the first delivery free.
If you’d rather skip the delivery fee, and simply get the groceries yourself, a variety of stores in Garden City offer minimum contact pick-up options. Simply log on to the website of the store you want to shop at, choose your groceries, and an employee will gather and deliver them to your car. Some of the more popular stores in the Garden City area include Walmart, Publix, Food Lion, Kroger, Target, and even Total Wine.
Dining Out While Staying In
If one of your favorite parts of vacation is dining out, consider catering from a local Garden City restaurant or caterer. At the beach to try some fresh fish? Try one of Garden City’s local fish markets.

Planning Ahead
Make the most use of your groceries by planning ahead. Having a menu planned out will allow you to make sure there are kid-friendly food options available, so you can try new foods. This way, you’ll have easy on-the-go snacks for beach days (like sandwiches and fresh fruits), and easy-to-prep dinners. If you have any unopened, non-perishable items leftover, donate them to Garden City Realty during check-out. We partner with Garden City Baptist Church and South Strand Helping Hands to help our community.
