Summers in the Grand Strand just wouldn’t be the same without the slight roar of the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally. That’s right, the big engines and flashy rides are coming May 10th through May 19th for a rally like no other. This tradition has been calling bikers to see our coast for over 75 years. Here, thousands of Harley Davidson enthusiast flock for some sunshine, biker bars, and live music– all available in Murrells Inlet, a biker hot spot.
Bikers can look forward to cruising daycations to Charleston and Wilmington or enjoy the 200-mile loop that swings around Horry and Georgetown Counties. If you’re trying to get in on the fun, you can check out featured bike shows or rock out to some live music. There are also plenty of biker hot-spots such as Jamin’ Leather, Beaver Bar, the Rat Hole, Myrtle Beach Speedway, Ocean Annie’s Beach Bar, and more.
Following soon after is the Black Pearl Cultural Heritage and Bike Festival. This annual event will take place on May 24th through May 27th, hosting custom bikes and flashy cars. Again, expect to see unique vendors and entertainment around Atlantic Beach and North Myrtle Beach.
If you’re looking to let your hair down and have a wild ride, you can look no further than our own Myrtle Beach coast. If this week isn’t really for you, we have a few suggestions for staying off the highways. Rent a kayak or paddleboard and enjoy the inlet’s lapping waves or head out on a dinner cruise on the Waccamaw. This is also a great time to explore quieter spots such as the Brookgreen Gardens which offer soothing tours of their famous, flowering gardens and bustling zoo.
Either way, get ready to rev your engines for a sunny week of Myrtle Beach fun.
