Superbowl Sunday Party Ideas

This Superbowl Sunday, we’ll be seeing red as the Kansas City Chiefs play the San Francisco 49ers. Even if these aren’t your favorite teams, Superbowl Sunday is the perfect time to sit down with family and friends for one of America’s biggest sporting events of the year. Show your spirit with these winning party ideas:
First off, begin planning your menu. This is a good opportunity to have some fun with your choices! Starting with drinks, you can make two themed drinks for partygoers to show their support. For your 49ers’ fans, the San Francisco cocktail is a perfect choice. This is made with gin, vermouth, orange bitters, and a cherry to finish it off. For your Chief fans, mix up a Kansas City Ice Water made from gin, vodka, lime juice, triple sec, and lemon-lime soda. It will be a fun conversation starter for people who want to discuss their teams, or just a delicious refresher.
Keep food simple for a party like this. People will be mingling and moving around, so easy-to-eat finger foods are key. Wings and dips are a usual go-to but add some fun decorations to spice it up. Stick team flag toothpicks in cheese cubes or cupcakes, lay a team tablecloth on your table, and sprinkle some football confetti over your setting. The possibilities are endless! You can even decorate one half of the viewing area in one team’s colors and the other half with the other so fans can choose their side for a little extra competition.
Speaking of decorations, set up a picture booth with a Super Bowl 54 background. Include some props like football helmets, Chiefs and 49er’s flags, pom-poms, and other fun props. People will want to remember how much fun they had at your party! Plus, if there are any die-hard fans, they’ll have a blast showing out for their team.

For those who are just here for the famous Super Bowl commercials, have some side games going on. You can include trivia about the teams or the cities they’re from. Another idea is to create a Super Bowl scavenger hunt where every time something happens, the player must mark it down. This could be each time you see the Budweiser Clydesdales or each time a certain play gets flagged. It’s a great way to keep the attention on the game, while still keeping it fun.
Just have fun with it and everyone will be a winner at your perfect Super Bowl party!
